Have the same vehicle, was able to get the calipers off without the software. My electric handbrake doesn’t go on automatically when the car is turned off, the handbrake must be applied or it doesn’t go on. I have the same year a3 but mine is gas motor 🤷🏽♀️.
Any torque specs for the carrier bolts mate? Just nipped down to Halfords to grab an m14, got them off but a sod on the drive lol front carriers are 200 so thinking doing the same
@@TEAMR4ULTV that’s what I’ve done in the end, managed to get the impact on the really stubborn one but my arms are killing me getting them off on the drive 😂
So you can't just... do the brakes on the car? You have to hook them up to a computer to put the car into service mode?? Wtf... I was just doing my wife's brakes (this same car), and was dumbfounded by how many torx bolts Audi uses. Front brakes were reasonable but I told her to just take the rear brakes back since they were still fine. Insane that they put all this stuff in just to get more money out of you trying to get you to take it to a dealership.

Thanks for watching really appreciate it. To be honest just do them hand tight with a 3/8 ratchet should be tight enough.
