Joe's so good he doesn't even have to turn the tools on! Going well mate and I'm looking forwards to the next. And the truth is out- you're a Wolves fan!! 😀
This is gonna be great once finished Joe. Nice turning bud. I gather that you're happy with the new tools now you've had a chance to turn something proper. Looking forward to the next instalment as always 👍
Wahoo !! Joe got his lathe on !! Well done Joe, the legs look awesome buddy, very hard to turn matching pieces, but you did great....... thanks for sharing, regards, Steve.
How high is your bench Joe ? ideally the working piece should be elbow height from the floor? You looked a little high and awkward ..... Just a wee observation ;-)
Joe, You camera work and editing is excellent. You use the time lapse well and the second overhead angle kept my interest. Keep up the excellent work and I'm looking forward to the next instalment.
Just picked up a Warco wood turning lathe from a very nice gentleman who brought it along from England when he moved to the states. He added sixteen lathe tools and faceplates also a nice chuck. $37 US on eBay. Gave me some timber and a lot of advice also. Now I have to get the nerve to start turning. Love the videos. Your friend from across the pond.
Excellent craftsmanship on the chair but even beyond that I thought it was brilliant that you did the mock up of the video pieces that were lost. Rather than just skip those parts the steps you took were still perfectly illustrated.
You've been teasing us on Facebook for days about these legs. Nick work on the turning Joeseph, not had a play on a lathe for a good number of years now but always keep an eye on Gumtree for a local bargain. Looking forward to the finished rocker.
Enjoy your video, when you turn legs are centres off set 1/4 off centre. I am trying a Brock rocker but I understand Marks plans are similar, and I am unclear of this process. Cheers
Nice job Joe! Would love to have the space for a lathe as it's something I would really like to try. I don't think I can cram anymore into my 10x8 though!
I must have been 6yrs old when I started and they just bought Andy grey for 1.5 million,he was the first that cost that much i think lol ,prob way before your time ,but good times
Great effort Joe. I've never tried lathe work of any kind and anything more than a tool handle would intimate me to begin with. But it looks like you're really getting on with it nicely. Have you always had a late or have you bought this recently?
Nice job on the turning mate. You did great on them. Sorry to hear about the corrupt footage that's a pain I have had that happen to. You are doing a really nice job on the rocker and I look forward to the end result. Don't worry about the time it takes as it will be done when it's done. You know the old saying that rome wasn't built in a day lol .. I noticed you have a different bandsaw, What one is it mate if you don't mind me asking :).. Thank you for sharing take care and well done mate...
Yah do-in a smashin job ourwa kid LOL. Looking good Joe, well done, did I miss something? I didn't see your cnc set-up on the back wall... anyway take care because we care Duncan & Rebecca
