He said that he and his brother alone among their friends, understood the value of time and money. When you work, you better be making and saving money. I stopped selling on ebay, about 6-7 years ago. I was doing well as a little side business selling cedar products, bird houses, that kinda thing. Worked well because I put HOURS into finding reliable suppliers for boxes, packing, cedar, etc. But it was no fun working all day, then coming home and working 4 hours at night. I sold a golf club recently on eBay, before listing it, I looked at what the other sellers were asking for shipping priority mail, they were between $12.99 and $14.99, so I went with the $14.99..... it ended up costing me $26.74 for shipping it priority mail. After the Ebay 10% fee, and the paypal 3%, and this ridiculously over-priced shipping, I'm netting less than 60% of the total sale. Wont be selling anything else on eBay, I could do better having a yard sale.
Sell your item on mercari theres no paypal fee and mercari fee is 10 percent. Shipping is greatly discounted compared to ebay and the price is good to ship to all 48 states. Or if you choose to sell on ebay then use a mercari label to ship your item on ebay.
