I was also born and brought up near agra. I remember one of my cousin made a doll house of mud. She had everything in that doll house made up of mud.

Hand made toy industry has failed. and "educational" toys are a fail too. (who wants to take a break from studies just to study some more?) Injection molding and 3d printing is the answer. A factor in China's favor is they have engineers who are very fast at designing new molds, cheaply.
