I would have loved to see Joker grab a gadget off Batman's belt and use it against Clayface. Showing that 1. No one kills Batman but him, and 2. He knows Batman so well he knows what's in each part of the belt

Over the last 15 or so years, DC have gradually watered down Jason Todd's fate from Batman's greatest failure, to a slight hiccup in Batman's blemishless career.

Hush NEVER impersonated Jason, but Jason at one time impersonated Hush.

So...what tips Batman off that The Riddler was actually Clayface here? Clayface's acting was so good, I never caught on! My guess: When Gordon says 'fancy monologuing,' Batman has the 'HOLD UP' face at 2:03. The Riddler teased Gordon for not deducing it at 2:05, was him leaking more clues to Batman. Then, Batman has the 'Oh, snap' Batglare at 2:09 when he remembers Clayface's signature actor's move is a fancy monologue along with dramatic gestures.
Kentrc11 remember he’s the worlds greatest detective. Plus he’s had to deal with clayface dozens of times. He probably has memorized some subtle signs that clayface lets slip.

I think Batman realized as he was monologing that if he had had brain surgery, there would be visible scars and if it failed, Riddler wouldn't be so healthy
I know some people will disagree but I'm actually glad thomas isn't hush. Even as someone who didn't read the comic I thought he was hush second he was introduced. I'm glad they actually had a twist to the story.

I would have liked the twist more if it was hinted at or possible for some people to figure it out if they were paying attention. It just felt that it came out of left field. The movie overall was good though.

Clayface is prolly the sadest villain origin in batman. His origin in the animated series titled "clay feat" is amazing and interesting. Not to mention his fake death he fooled everyone with

I know I'm a minority in this but this is better then the comics. Thomas Elliot was a wasted character. This animated movie did the right thing of cutting him out altogether. This twist was so cheap. They already did this twist in Arkham City with the Joker it kind of doesn’t work here. They could’ve used Clayface for Jason, but that’s it. Honestly I really don’t want to see Clayface again in anything unless they do something different and not use him as a cheap plot device. And along with Riddler being Hush was kind of dumb. If they made him Two-Face or Jason Hush I would’ve bought that, but the guy whose entire personal motives and obsessions with trying intellectually upstage Batman is so lame that was everything that made Riddler unique. Riddler was the mastermind of the story in the comic along with Scarecrow. Elliott merely funded it. However this is actually a better story line for a short animated film. There is not enough time to do the gauntlet, Catwoman, and introduce Elliott.

He knew. Watching the scene again, he clearly saw many holes 1. Where is the obvious scar of his brain surgery? 2. How could the Ridler be the one commiting crimes if he is already locked up? 3. The monologue. If you dont know, Clayface was a failed actor, and with Batman dealing with him before, he probably recognized that was the signature sign of clayface
I haven't seen the movie, but I now know who hush is in the film, and how most of it played out. I'm not disappointed, but I do think it could of been better if it was a new villain who simply was really smart, and used clay face to impersonate Riddler because the actual villain (Hush) knew that out of all of Batman's villains, Riddler is one of the few who would be capable of discovering his identity (even though Bane, Joker, Catwoman, all know Batman's identity). Then uses Riddler as a fall guy, just to find out that Riddler is Clay Face (being controlled by Hush), shortening the amount of time that Batman has to save Catwoman. But is left just enough of a clue to give him an idea as to his identity. Then Batman gets there in the nic of time, and then throughout the battle, Hush is revealed to be someone from Batman's past, but someone we've never seen or know all that much of their history with Batman/Bruce Wayne. We find out how they discovered Bruce was Batman, and tie it back to the Lazarus pit.
I think the best clue was he said who is the Batman. He just gave a question it wasn’t a riddle at all. Which probably made him suspicious. That’s my opinion.

I haven't seen the movie, but I now know who hush is in the film, and how most of it played out. I'm not disappointed, but I do think it could of been better if it was a new villain who simply was really smart, and used clay face to impersonate Riddler because the actual villain (Hush) knew that out of all of Batman's villains, Riddler is one of the few who would be capable of discovering his identity (even though Bane, Joker, Catwoman, all know Batman's identity). Then uses Riddler as a fall guy, just to find out that Riddler is Clay Face (being controlled by Hush), shortening the amount of time that Batman has to save Catwoman. But is left just enough of a clue to give him an idea as to his identity. Then Batman gets there in the nic of time, and then throughout the battle, Hush is revealed to be someone from Batman's past, but someone we've never seen or know all that much of their history with Batman/Bruce Wayne. We find out how they discovered Bruce was Batman, and tie it back to the Lazarus pit.

Did Batman know that was clay face or was he just going to kill riddler.
I think the best clue was he said who is the Batman. He just gave a question it wasn’t a riddle at all. Which probably made him suspicious. That’s my opinion.
