I also love this show💓💓 for an animal lover like me ds probably is one of d best show ever 💓🐱🐹 veterinary department is so advance in Australia but in my country animals lives just don't matter n veterinary service is very poor
Benjis owner is a beautiful person! Imagine adopting a sick dog and then being prepared to give all your money for saving it. I hope some of the operation was financed by the show.
Absolutely, bless him so much, he really had faith in his rescue puppy, and you could see how happy Benji was once he'd had his op, it was a miracle, the surgeons did such an amazing job!
Mel and Benjie break my heart. This big strong man and his little bitty baby are so devoted to each other. His look of true devastation is touching. Size does NOT matter. ❤️❤️
Well, it is a matter of kismet that this episode should come up for me today. We adopted a little Jack Russell x Chihuahua with a grade 2 heart murmur in 2016, and today in 2022 we are making the call to the vets for her "big sleep". We think she is about 17 years old, though don't know for sure, what we do know is that she has been an incredibly brave, intelligent, and loving dog, and I am so very proud to have been her Momma. Today, my heart goes out to Mel and I hope he and Benji are living full and happy lives together. Bless all who care for animals, from the specialist surgeons, to the shelter volunteers, and everyone in between. And love to anyone who is facing the difficult decision for their own pet's future - you will do the right thing, because you are acting from a place of love, and I love you for it. Thank you Bondi Vet team for sharing these heart warming stories.
I just watched this Bondi Vet video (with the rescue dog who had a serious heart condition) and read your note. I know it's been 2 years since your beloved dog went to the bridge. I still want to extend my condolences to you. You obviously cared for her and loved her greatly. She is still in your heart and will be forever, watching over you. Everything you said about the people who care for these special animals can come back to you. Thank you for opening your heart to her.

Love all the vets at Bondi Vet. Would love to see The Wildlife of Tim Faulkner. You can’t have to many fosters or volunteers. Prayers for the Kangaroo’s foot. Benji is a cute dog and thank you Mel for giving Benji a second chance. Dr. Andrew Machezki and the life saving treatment of all small animals. Marilyn is just a scared pregnant mom. Emma is a good nurse. Marilyn had beautiful kittens. Glad all the animals are doing great
Watching BondiVet increases my passion for animal care. I hope in a shot time I can starts my study to be a Veterinarian Nurse! I was in really dark place before, and with all those amazing people, I found my way. Thank you BondiVet for being my epiphany! Thanks from New Zealand!
Soooo happy that Benji heart problem was fixed and not he’ll have a great life with his great owner!! That kitty mum to be was really aggressive but I was surprised when after having the kittens that she had calmed down. I’d love to have one of those kittens!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💗💗💗💗💗
It’s really painful to see animals in so much of pain😢 Benji’s owner and Dr.Chris I really felt they both were about to cry when benji’s owner said I will do everything for him... hope benji is absolutely fine now & out of danger after the massive surgery 🙏 👍
I had a similar healing process as Hipster. I punctured the top of my foot on a gardening tool called a Rototiller. Thankfully it was OFF and just sitting in our garage but I got my foot stuck under the guard and one blade pierced my foot. 5 stitches later and a week and a half on crutches, including all around a campground.....the stitches didn't help and the wound just gaped open again so we had to let it granulate from the inside out. Can't even really see the scar anymore unless you know where to look!
I watch this old video. Benji is so adorable little dog. Him owner, Mel was so kind heart, they was close bond💞. Penni is a amazing woman. That beautiful cat mama, Marilyn. Poor kangaroo, i am glad,Dr. Audrey was cared it. Kittens was so cute. Amazing to watch, Monty`s operation to pull of big towel! Thank you, everyone Doctors, and nursers💝💝.
There is something, I don't know what it is....but something about the fact that Dr. Chris goes with Benji to SASH....how he goes with the owners sometimes when its a pretty rough scenario. Most vets just hand over a referral and say good luck, follow up with us later, and that's it. Maybe its just our American way of just get them dealt with and pay us mentality....but the care the Bondi vets all have in every episode regardless. That means so much to me!
Benji is so adorable and I'm happy he made it through the procedure ok. The baby kitties are also adorable, you all are the best vets and vet nurses that I've seen. Love this show !!! 🙂🐕🐈⬛❤❤❤
Just a note on wound care. Several vets here in Texas will clean the wound then put sugar on it before the wrapping. The sugar tends to encourage the granulation. Just a thought for the kangaroo's damaged foot. Thanks for all you do.
I absolutely love watching these episodes but it feels like lately it's just compilations of things that have already been uploaded on this channel. I would love to see some new episodes, please! :)
I fostered for six years. With a feral-acting cat, I wrap them in a bath towel and carry them around while they realize they love it. Also, I just saw an ad of a woman who invented a cat pressure head tube that calms them. Maybe it would help with biting too during procedure.
It's so hard to find a good compassionate veterinarian where in Virginia. I had terrific one back Texas, but I haven't been back there since I left in 2011.
I saw that video of Monty on Twitter hopefully, she's not eaten any more towels. Benji's owner is such a wonderful man to adopt him even though he knew Benji had a heart condition. Benji's story reminds me how lucky I am that despite my mirmer being loud it's actually a very small hole not worth operating on. I just had an ultrasound on mine (echocardiogram) and I hope the vet didn't press as hard with the probe as the guy who did mine did, it hurt! I'm so glad all the animals had good outcomes :)
It's amazing this guy had enough family or someone to help him with the cost.. here in America my baby girl broke free and my mom ran over her I had no money for treating her injuries no help no care for what happened and so all I could do was put her down.. I 2as devastated and still am three and a half years later.. It’s awesome that he knew of bens heart condition even tho it’s not cool. Wen the condition gets worse the murmur gets worse. Glad ben is doing well!!! Mels going to see a different dog who is more active!!! That cat is eating for at least 2 so too many treats shouldn’t be a issue.
What a lovely man to get the care Benji needs. I don't have the extra money to care for a pet, and I really miss the love. My last kitty broke a tooth and it cost over $2000 USD to get her fixed up. I had to rehome her as she was not a travel kitty and my husband and I had to relocate whe6he retired onto disability. I miss my kitty so much.
Wow, how they handled that pregnant cat was terrible. I’m a vet tech and I would NEVER put my face or hands in such a fractious cat’s face like that. Cats don’t take “comfort” in a stranger’s face being forced onto them.
Yeah that’s laughable. Even my super sweet cats don’t like me in their face if they aren’t in the mood for it. They won’t bite or scratch but the cat stink eye is strong.

Absolutely, bless him so much, he really had faith in his rescue puppy, and you could see how happy Benji was once he'd had his op, it was a miracle, the surgeons did such an amazing job!
Finally, a show that upfront acknowledges the impoverishment of people to care for the ‘rescue at any cost” culture.
