Hoddle was definitely generations ahead of his time and he’s only fault was that he was born in an era preoccupied with work rate and crunch tackling. He was reviewed around the world by the greats and unfortunately wasted in England. 70 yard passes with both feet supply in control and fantastic world-class all-round ability saw him become French player of the year when they were the best league in Europe but still could not get a place in the England team. Nowadays his pricetag would be in the stratosphere. Spurs have been blessed with an incredible amount of talent Over the generations.
