If yo8 can’t afford dog food. Give the dog table left overs. I do it for my dog many times when money is Short. And my pooch seems happy

Every dog, regardless of breed, deserves respect & love. They’re such loyal, loving animals….breaks my heart knowing so many are being mistreated & abused all over the world. Imagine what a better world it would be if everyone gave animals the love & respect they deserved 😭

Danes are one of my favorite breeds but I'd never own one myself. They sadly just don't live long enough

Great Danes are hands down my favorite large breed. They are the penultimate of gentle giants. To see this, absolutely breaks my heart. He also has my favorite color pattern on the breed. Such a handsome boy. So happy thay he got the help and life he deserves.
I am always shocked that anyone could do this to a puppy that they had to choose and then neglect them. Thank God for the people who rescue them and give them a chance for a wonderful life.💕
It’s mind boggling, isn’t it? Every dog deserves the best possible home, but the people who go outta their way to get these animals, just to make their lives miserable will never make sense to me.

Dane’s are Great Dane’s for a reason. Why people do you do this to an animal that depends on you? Thank God for people with so much love they take care of what you didn’t want. Such a beautiful dog.
I've never taken my little guys with me to the pet store because they don't do well around other animals who are strangers to them. But I LOVE seeing other owners' pets (usually dogs) browsing in the store. Just like Avenue, they are excited like the proverbial kid in a candy store! Always puts a smile on my face.
You obviously didn't socialize them when they were young. Their loss.
My dog was born during COVID, was really hard to socialize, since no one was outside and dog training classes where online.

With all the crazy stuff that is going on right now? I find myself tuning in more and more to these animal rescue stories. They lift and warm my heart, and give me good reasons to be optimistic. There are kind people out there doing wonderful work...(BTW I feed a community cat colony of 14 sweet TNR'd kitties here in New Orleans..) Cheers and thanks!

What a beautiful story! I've got a German shepherd/great Dane mix who when I adopted was 52 pounds, heartworm positive and had been returned. I'll have her 4 years in October and she's been heartworm negative, put on weight....we fed her too much then got her down again to 93 lbs. She is an absolute sweetheart and reminds me so much of Avenue! She's got the pink birthmark on her nose, thinks she's a lap dog and loves to play and eat!!❤

Thank god we have loving caring responsible people around the world to help these animals in need , some humans are irresponsible and cold hearted and they shouldn't be allowed to be near animals, ever
I worked at a shelter and we picked up this albino Great Dane. He was absolutely huge. We put him inside a 9 feet by 9 feet pen. He would wag his tail and it would hit the side of the cage. I finally had to take him home with me because his tail was getting raw from it hitting the side. That Dane was so friendly and loving. From floor to his shoulders was four feet tall. I lived in a very small house but he just laid around until I let him out to my backyard. I wanted to keep him but I already had three small dogs. It was so funny watching him play with them. I finally found a family that had two kids and they had knowledge of what it takes to take care of a Dane. They had lost one three years before they adopted Charlie. The kids were old enough to know how to love him. I will never forget those red eyes of happiness that always look at me.

I grew up with Danes, and I still love them (along with ALL big dogs). If I'm lucky, I'll be able to have another when I retire in a few years.
