Helmeted Hornbill Maliau Basin

The Helmeted Hornbill is Asia's largest hornbill; rare, elusive and very difficult to film, so I'm rather pleased to share this video of such a magnificent creature. Each pair need a territory of over 7 hectares, meaning that a viable population of 50 pairs needs a continuous area of over 400 sq. kilometres to maintain a healthy, sustainable population.
