A Day in Dekilafay - a Village in Eritrea

A video I made in 2009 of a magical place inhabited by wonderful people. The village of Dekilafay, near the town of Adi Keih, Debub, Eritrea. The video story is told from the point of view of Milyon, a small boy. It shows traditional aspects of Eritrean life - taita, coffee ceremonies, feeding animals, etc. The language used is Tigrinya. If anyone is missing home in Eritrea, this video will cheer you up!

Great video. Yekeniyeley, Jason. It brings back memories from two of the best years of my life as a volunteer IT teacher. Although I lived in Asmara and worked at the Keih Bahri Secondary School, I took every opportunity to visit friends in other parts of Eritrea, Adi Keih included. Thanks again!
