Amine No studying is needed, it's known how albinism and piebald occur. I doubt there's a method of observing the animal while simultaneously giving it the best life. I believe their best life is in the wild until their death.
its a genetic defect, it makes it a prime target for predators. we have many white deer in Tennessee because they have been reproducing the particular genes due to lack of hunting. they rarely last beyond 3 years where any natural predators still have a population
That was amazing He must have been in total Awww seeing that Moose. Even the horns were white, so Beautiful n Angel like! Why can't hunters shoot these animals with camera's instead of guns...so much more rewarding... Thxx for that wonderful footage, n Sweden is so beautiful, how I would love to go there.
Actually it is a bit different. The White Moose is due to a normally recessive gene that has become active, while Albino Moose is due to the gene that makes melanin not working as it should. One easy way to tell is to look at their eyes. Dark eyes = White Moose Red eyes = Albino Moose Another difference is that the White Moose gene can be passed on, while albinism is only in that individual.
Barbara Vick Yeah, I was looking for red eyes also. Didn't see them, but maybe not close enough. Looked like dark eyes to me, if so, then it is not an albino.
No. Albino animals and humans are called albinos. The rest of them are called white. Some of them are supposed to be white all the time and some of them are white in winter time and some of them - like this moose get the recessive gene that makes them white all the time even though they normally aren't white at all.
I saw a piebald pigeon once. I thought it was a magpie but the markings weren't right and the tail was not long enough. I'll never forget that expirience.
Wow, I've heard of a spirit bison that's considered lucky. My Grandmother even painted a white buffalo in snow on leather. It was a beautiful painting. One that I wanted but didn't get to have. I was tempted to donate it to the native Americans that just had a white bison calf born. But I've never seen or heard of a whit moose. It's wonderful that most hunters respect the tradition of not hunting this special animal.
@@davidv.3856 Sweden has a population of white moose in Värmland county that is due to leucism and the moose in this clip is definately one of those, not an albino. The commentator of this clip was mistaken when he said albino. Värmland is the only geographical area in the world with such any such population density of white leucism moose, so most people that aren't aware of that usually automatically assume it's an albino creature:)
In the state of Wisconsin, USA, there are very specific rules spelled out on shooting leucistic (white) whitetail deer. Patches of brown - it is legal.
It is simply a white moose (actually called a PIEBALD- because it does have BROWN HAIR inside it's ears as well as on lower legs) a true ALBINO - will have a PINK nose eyes & hoves / never the less AWESOME SITE one of GODS great creations & wonderments.
@nelson. you did thats cool! i seen a albino robin,,took me a minute to figure it out i didnt know what was going on at first,, it is the most awesome thing that robin! you cant imagine.. i cant imagine a white crow wow..
Machine Gun Nest The reason I know it was a crow is that it was with a dozen or so other crows. What was really cool was the white crow had a small group of 3 pure black feathers on his shoulder part of the wing that looked like slash marks. I also saw Johnny Winter in concert twice.
From what I can see of the eyes, this not albino..albinos have reddish pink eyes...but it is still a beautiful animal...if I was out in the woods and saw that,I would stare in awe and give great reverence to the animal :)
@Did You Know Animals ? Please ban IQ Games, he keeps spamming on people's comments asking them too sub to him, all I can do is remove the comments its getting very annoying By the way nice video! =)
@Did You Know Animals ? This is not an "Albino" moose, albinism is a genetic mutation that come's with pinkish skin and eyes. This is from some sort of recessive gene. Do some research, buddy. It literally took me 25 seconds to google that.
Spent 27 years in Alaskin bush. Saw 1 only ONCE crossing through our valley. Not only white but 2X normal size. Last day of moose season, sun going down. COULD NOT pull the trigger. Just tooooo damned magnificant to kill. Any other legal moose no problem, just not THAT one ever. Worked out anyway, friend got his moose & gave us a quarter next day which was enough for our family til next season. Found that giant dead a week later. Wolves had ripped his guts out & left him lay to rot.
The white moos are actually NOT albino. They have a genetic problem. And it is that they can’t store the dark pigment. Sorry if my spelling is bad. I’m Swedish :))
I have had friends with albino Rottweiler. And another friend with an albino Queensland Heeler. Imagine it a solid white Rottweiler he was a 90 pound Lap dog he was the melloest Critter on Earth
did he catch this on VHS or BETA format, and what "Tape" recorder did he use?... OH wait it was caught on FILM 35 MM, 8 MM??? or was it really caught on a digital camera... get it right who uses tape recorders anymore???
They always have God as this old guy with a white beard, I know he's been around awhile but for Gods sake he's God, I mean if I was God I would make myself look like a GQ model and I wouldn't care if I was a trillion years old I'd make myself stay that way. I would give myself a couple of creases on my face just to give me a little bit of a Clint Eastwood look, that would be cool.
Tom, if you were god, who would you need to impress with the great looks and physique of a model? God could make himself look like a warthog and still feel like the most perfect being in the universe. Perfect looks would get boring. (This is of course assuming there is a god, which there isn't.)
There are stories on just about every country of their great white beast. Many of them hve to do with extreme reverence. A white elephant will bring an entire village to iz knees in prayer, and good fortune prevails. As lucky as most are fabled (?), they also hve to do with the end of the world or something earth changing. The video of this beautiful beast hz gone viral. I wonder if it portends - anything?
Hunters have such great words like "taken", "stock", and perhaps the creepiest of all, "harvest". But there's just something depressing about putting in Caribou and Alaskan Moose and having Google bring up hundreds of grinning guys standing over bloody carcasses holding their horns like little kids, the uncomprehending dead faces turned to the camera to 'smile'. I know people gotta have entertainment but I wish they would just let animals like this be. Moose in particular and some of these other ice age relics are really going to be hit hard by global warming. As Chief Dan George said, "Have I left the eagle to soar in freedom?". Leave em.... just let them be free.
That perfect moment, when it all comes together, the calm, the lighting, this majestic beast. "Walking with grace"
Lord gave this man a great gift , not only to actually see a white moose, but then to b able to photograph it also! Man, he is lucky!!
Hans, you're very DEAR soul...I cry happy tears knowing all you wanted was to photograph & observe this MAGNIFICENT animal...Bless you...
Oh, my goodness!! What a rare, gorgeous, miraculous animal and what a blessed, lucky photographer!! Wow!! 😻😻😻😻😻

Martha Clark A black moose is rarer.
That's great that the hunters won't shoot them. All hunters should be that respectful and responsible.
Being white is a disadvantage? I guess you never heard of white privilege. Hunters won't kill him because of that.
Better yet, I'd rather a conservationalist to capture it and spoil it with the best life it could ask for in return for prime observation and study.
Amine No studying is needed, it's known how albinism and piebald occur. I doubt there's a method of observing the animal while simultaneously giving it the best life. I believe their best life is in the wild until their death.

John Di Francisco - Yeah. A hunter myself, I will never shoot an albino, doll, melanistic, or piebald animal.
Wow! What a gorgeous moose! Hope he gets to have offspring who look just like him. 🙂
wow that moose is soooooooo beautiful and it's color is breathe taking
That's beautiful and majestic.
So Majestic
Noshville black moose are rarer. In my opinion just because a moose is white doesn't make it better. I would shoot it just a fast or more in season.
Wow so beautiful !

Harry Potter is that you.
Johnathan Ortiz his Patronus is a stag, (adult male deer), not a moose
is it possible that this was an albino moose? they have rabbits and people so I'm thinking that this was an albino moose. it is beautiful too!
Yes, it is an albino.
sweet teaNC I don't think it was an albino, his eyes weren't pink
sweet teaNC did you not watch the video they literally said it's an albino moose but some aren't white and are naturally white

FINALLY A MOOSE WITHOUT PIGMENTATION!
BEAUTIFUL AND MAJESTIC. GOOD FOR YOU. VERY RARE INDEED.

Breath of fire
wow looks so majestic..
that's a shiny pokemon
During summer must be hard hiding from predators, but bet during winter practically invisible
when my mom was younger, my grandpa told her they had to go see an albino moose. a man shot it and everyone was kind of mad about it
This reminds me of the story of a man freaking out after seeing an Albino Moose and shooting it.
That’s so cool to see a white moose
*A Wild Shiny Stantler appeared!*
And the legend of the Unicorn was born... lol
I will never kill a animal only if it's a bug trying to get in my pet's food
Rachel is always here i would never kill an animal unless it hurt me

Beautiful
This white moose is rare because it was seen in an area of the Swedish forest known as Compton.
It is simply a white moose (actually called a PIEBALD- because it does have BROWN HAIR inside it's ears as well as on lower legs) a true ALBINO - will have a PINK nose eyes & hoves / never the less AWESOME SITE one of GODS great creations & wonderments.

My son lives in New Brunswick, and they are huge like that cause one wont let my son go by with his car, so we cant argue with them, just be patient
beautiful moose!!
THQTS SOOOO COOL WAIT TILL I TELL AND SHOW MY granddaughter she loves animals
spirit moose
wow how can there be 37 thumbs down. something is wrong that is truly Gods creation
Or a genetic abnormality in which the animal wasn't born with a lot of melanin in it's color pigments.
Rodney Wroten ..it's from Jews
Wow ,. It's like the episode in NEWHART!!!
Wow! Albinos are rarer than I thought.
I saw an albino crow.
