    Bobby, another down to earth review. Love your analysis of the passengers seating positions, boss in the front passenger seat...etc😊. Yes, Madza car philosophy as you mentioned is NOT for all. One needs to appreciate it. This Cx30 is somewhat overpriced for a rather small SUV & NA engine. Yes cabin appears to have quality materials but conservative 😢.
    My personal view, I would take your last words on Omoda 5 you recently reviewed...."just buy"..."just "
    buy" over this Cx30.....having watched both videos plus listening to your comments closely, Bobby 😊

      Same, but it will be more perfect if it have the 2.5 liter engine option in malaysia, 2.0 is a bit of powerless for me

    Very good review, better than everything I watched on UA-cam. You are right about Mazda being stubborn and cheaping out, the paint chips, the battery dies quickly, and the seats they now use are rock hard without proper lumbar support. But they still have an overall good quality. The reason they do this is that they are a small manufacturer and don't have a big budget for both R&D and top of the line parts. The new models like CX 50/60/70/90 havr very high quality parts but the price of the cars went up so much.

    Bobby exactly my thoughts too. Yes stubborn car manufacturer. Only those car enthusiasts understand them. Unfortunately their target market are small. Honda and Toyota designed cars according to what the mass market want such as spacious and practicality. Mazda designed cars where many don't realize how much effort they have put in. Now the Chinese just throw in everything whether you want it or not.

    • @joypontop
      @joypontop Місяць тому

      You call it stubborn? Have a look at suzuki how outdated it is. Mazda takes minimalist approach. Less is more! P. S. Yes, I'm biased cx-30 owner

  • @bellini2535

    Agreed Bob. They should have kept the multi link though. Even if the torsion beam might work as well, there's just that feeling in the mind that a multi link should be it. There's imagination there's something missing.

    Very in depth review Bobby. A car worth 160k with limited equipment inside the car in 2023 is not acceptable. I will buy the Chery Omoda for my wife and see how it goes in 3 years. If it's reliable within 3 years, i might buy another Chinese car since there are a lot of other brands will come in.

      No choice bro. Japan and Europe are anjing Amerika. All anjing are suffering bad inflation because they sanctioned Russia. Now their economy collapse and their cost of manufacturing is sky high. However in China costs of manufacturing is super low

    Actually no. Mazda has touch screens but you can only touch when the car is stationary. Touch is automatically disabled when moving. Not having touch screen at all is plainly cost cutting. The nicer way to put it would be the screen placement is further away so touch is inconvenient.

    This was a good ride for me as a driver, but when I took it out for a test drive and swapped driving with my partner & sat behind, I felt that it was too bumpy. So not sure how is the dampening & absorbers for the rear is done. Wasn't to my liking, such a shame but I think it was it nice car for daily use.

  • @henrysiew1996
    @henrysiew1996 Рік тому +1

    The rattle is due to design and the material gap where they don’t foam it, CBU CKD sama, guess it’s our weather can’t make the plastic panels to cope

    To be honest, I rather have more physical knob or button than a touchscreen that controls everything, that alone will convince me to go for Mazda, it's sad to see that no other cars brand like Toyota and Honda doing the same thing, even Mercedes entry-level cars are not using their trackpad anymore, I wish more people would appreciate ergonomics and convenience instead of put everything into one touch screen with the lousy seats design and dashboard
