Duncan definitely struck me as someone who rushes into the next relationship to try and mask how much he is hurting with the divorce. (We all see true moodlets, but that doesn’t mean Traci does). So the fact that this dynamic happened so fast is crazy! I feel like Toby definitely wouldn’t respond well to the new girlfriend at allllll. Traci probably just wouldn’t be surprised by this - but it would get under her skin a little. As always, thank you for such a wonderful video! So glad to see you loving your game again 🤍

I am 30 weeks pregnant and my husband travels for work and I’ve spent this whole week by myself. But with you in the background, it’s way more comforting. Your videos ignite my spark for the Sims every time and I find myself playing Sims all day and listening to your voice. I’ve watched you so much during my pregnancy that my son will be born knowing your voice lol! Recently my computer crashed and I lost my sims game and this has inspired me SO MUCH to start back on my cozy vanilla gameplay. We’re going through this together! Diedre is definitely someone who falls hard and often. I think she's the type that when you are with her everything is so thrilling and intoxicating. She lives on the edge and makes Duncan feel alive. I think Diedre does like him for who he is but everyone else thinks she doesn't because of how hard she falls, they believe it's because she also wants to be a singer but really its just her personality trait, she becomes obssessive until she latches onto someone else. At first, Duncan doesn't see it because he just wants to feel something other than pain. I can see him having a female band member who Diedre is jealous of and constantly causing drama with when he goes on tour. Oh yes, I see this rebound lasting a year or two before he is like nah I'm done. He will definitely see other people on their off and on periods but always goes back to her. She sees others just to toy with and make him jealous. I think she is desperately trying to fall pregnant to keep him. Traci and her bestie go out and she bumps into the repair man. They have a flirt but nothing more, then something breaks in her home, she calls out the repair man and boom, he is stood there in all his glory. I feel like Lydia would go and see her dad often, like she would beg her mum to go on tour with him. Every school holiday, she manages to see him even if its for 3 days. Shiloh loves his dad but i could imagine when Traci is in a stable relationship he becomes attached to his stepdad and has a better relationship with him. At first he rebels and then very quickly looks up to him. I think Duncan fails his younger son a lot because him and his band, out of no where shoots to fame. Toby and his father are going to be at odds for a very long time. Especially if Duncan dates Diedre, to him that is a complete sign of disrespect to his mum. I could imagine Duncan being jealous when Traci dates someone else and Toby defending her. Toby's feelings towards his dad sometimes put a wedge between him and his other siblings. I can imagine Duncan living with a band mate or his own sibling. I cant wait to see the childrens friends and the band mates. Loving this so far, evident by the novella i've written😂
Hey Oshin. First, I want to say that I am glad you are back doing more gameplay. Second, despite your recent loss of your old stories, I want you to never forget that you are a wonderful storyteller and your stories connect to those who watch your gameplays. You’re doing amazing and I can’t wait to see what stories you have in store for us. P.S. I saw this movie called Jack Frost and it kinda reminded me on Duncan’s situation, a musician who struggles to bond with his wife and son until something happens and things change. Not sure where this story will lead, romance, rekindling love, lust or tragedy I’m all for it ☺

I have been rewatching your rotational videos, something I usually don't do. It just gives a whole other vibe to the sims 4 and something I felt I have been missing? I spent the last months setting up a base savefile for me to play in but now you make me wanna connect the townies, give them more intricate stories. You just always know how to make them "real". Because of you I started editing holidays. Also started a minimal mods save and there is something nice about a fresh journey, especially since I rarely restart.
I see a lot of suggestions for Duncan living in apartments and rentals. Just a heads up, many experience a bug where festival objects are in the air and the objects gets duplicated in the sims inventory. Some say it can corrupt a save. To be safe for now, lets for a regular house. With that said, I can see him living with his band in del sol valley
I am getting so tired of these bugs. I tried placing a residential lot on the Vacuous Green lot in Del Sol and I was met with an infinite loading screen 😩
Honestly? I ALWAYS pause the calendar/holiday explanation parts of Oshin’s videos and copy them into my own saves because the holidays are ALWAYS *chef’s kiss*! They give so much more to game play!

Watching your most recent videos made me realize just how much the game has especially with the most recent packs. I am loving this rotationtal gameplay and I think it allows you to not be tired of one family. I want to to try the 21 day calendar mod, but I have so many holidays that I have created to fill in the 28-days that I would have a hard time letting some go plus I play on an adjusted longer life span using MCCC. I may have to test it out in a save that I am not super dedicated in playing long term to see if I like it.
These gameplays of yours were the kickstart for me to do a deep clean of my mods folder and although it was painful and a lot of work, now my game is much lighter and more fluid. I no longer have random crashes, it's like a miracle, my game is working, I can't believe I play for hours without losing progress or having to exit the game to remove something that is causing conflict. My mods folder is still almost 40gb, but the vast majority of it is for CAS and I realized that what makes the game slow and crash are mods that add new functions to the game.
i love how your videos feel like how i used to play in sims 2. the big family vibe. it's so refreshing and reminds me why i love this game so much despite its few annoyances. 😂

I feel like an apartmant with his band or a tralier that really reflects his mental state. Not because he can't afford a place on his own but because he can't handle anything bigger right now.

I really adored this video. It kinda reminded me of my childhood a bit because my parents divorced and the dynamic was kinda the same. Sidenote: the restaurant bug came from Lovestruck.
You might have solved the restaurant problem by now but I just wanted to share that in my game restaurants only work properly when a townie actually owns the business. So now the Villareals own a restaurant in Windenburg and the Kim-Lewis household owns a restaurant in Willow Creek in my game.
I can’t share it (it has builds and townie dumps not created by me) but I can absolutely share those creator gallery ID’s if there’s a specific build/sims you want to find. However, I have shared this family and my makeovers in the gallery! 🥰
I can imagine that Duncan probably lives in an apartment with some of his old friends, who are also the other band members. I can imagine that they’ve been friends since their very early adult years or something, so they’re all pretty close. Maybe he met Tracie around the same time and from hanging out at his place, she noticed how they opened up a beer from time to time. At first she didn’t think all too much of it, but as that habit kept going on she got a bit annoyed, but Duncan basically always dismissed her and she just went along with it since it wasn’t all too often and not yet something to worry about. However as they grew older and had their kids and everything, Tracie had to draw a line as that was not how she wanted to raise her kids. Maybe they started arguing and Duncan just kept dismissing her and in the end, they finally divorced. That’s just my interpretation though, to me Duncan just really seems like the “chill dude” that’s a little too chill you know
I just discovered your channel and omg, I love your content! It's so chill and relaxing and inspiring. I hope I will get some ideas for how to not get bored so fast of playing rotational, because I love to play this way but it usually gets me tired pretty quickly and then I start a new save and get mad at myself 🙄
I find it so interesting how we all have a different idea on how time works in the game, I think of a in-game year being 112 days long on 4 weeks per seasong which in turn makes one month 9 and a half days long in game. I also base my ages around this so I have adjusted it using mccc, I also included pregnancy in this so in my game a sims pregnancy is 90 days long which equals 9 in game months
OMG new Oshin video just dropped! Love love love this new vibe for the videos and the rotational gameplay. I have been thinking about playing rotationally myself and its such a coincidence that this just popped up on the feed 😅. Also, Duncan definitely gives apartment life - there's something about a late 30s not-so-washed up rock star in a grungy apartment. He probably knows the landlord was a huge fan like a decade ago. So, he's able to get a discounted rate for his rent. Which is super annoying since Traci has to pay for everything full price. But, that's how the cookie crumbled. I loved how all the kids were so different too. I did not expect the game (lite cc and vanilla) to actually act that way. It's making me think I should do a de-cluttering soon 🤔. But, I'm not going to hold myself to it 😅. Anyway still loved the video and can't wait for more! 💙

I’ve had the issue too with dine out, it doesn’t work with lovestruck dates :( Anyways, i’m a bit late in watching it but oh my god, i love love love this let’s play already. Despite the minimalism its so aesthetic and calming to watch! Been sick today, this deff helped me be a little distracted and calm.

Watching your most recent videos made me realize just how much the game has especially with the most recent packs. I am loving this rotationtal gameplay and I think it allows you to not be tired of one family. I want to to try the 21 day calendar mod, but I have so many holidays that I have created to fill in the 28-days that I would have a hard time letting some go plus I play on an adjusted longer life span using MCCC. I may have to test it out in a save that I am not super dedicated in playing long term to see if I like it.

These gameplays of yours were the kickstart for me to do a deep clean of my mods folder and although it was painful and a lot of work, now my game is much lighter and more fluid. I no longer have random crashes, it's like a miracle, my game is working, I can't believe I play for hours without losing progress or having to exit the game to remove something that is causing conflict. My mods folder is still almost 40gb, but the vast majority of it is for CAS and I realized that what makes the game slow and crash are mods that add new functions to the game.
i love how your videos feel like how i used to play in sims 2. the big family vibe. it's so refreshing and reminds me why i love this game so much despite its few annoyances. 😂
@ 36:10 I immediately felt your pain Oshin, I have had that bug for months, even without mods and cc. I've just given up on the dine out pack, it used to work so well for me and now its completely broken!! It's so frustrating :(

You might have solved the restaurant problem by now but I just wanted to share that in my game restaurants only work properly when a townie actually owns the business. So now the Villareals own a restaurant in Windenburg and the Kim-Lewis household owns a restaurant in Willow Creek in my game.

I can imagine that Duncan probably lives in an apartment with some of his old friends, who are also the other band members. I can imagine that they’ve been friends since their very early adult years or something, so they’re all pretty close. Maybe he met Tracie around the same time and from hanging out at his place, she noticed how they opened up a beer from time to time. At first she didn’t think all too much of it, but as that habit kept going on she got a bit annoyed, but Duncan basically always dismissed her and she just went along with it since it wasn’t all too often and not yet something to worry about. However as they grew older and had their kids and everything, Tracie had to draw a line as that was not how she wanted to raise her kids. Maybe they started arguing and Duncan just kept dismissing her and in the end, they finally divorced. That’s just my interpretation though, to me Duncan just really seems like the “chill dude” that’s a little too chill you know
I just discovered your channel and omg, I love your content! It's so chill and relaxing and inspiring. I hope I will get some ideas for how to not get bored so fast of playing rotational, because I love to play this way but it usually gets me tired pretty quickly and then I start a new save and get mad at myself 🙄

I find it so interesting how we all have a different idea on how time works in the game, I think of a in-game year being 112 days long on 4 weeks per seasong which in turn makes one month 9 and a half days long in game. I also base my ages around this so I have adjusted it using mccc, I also included pregnancy in this so in my game a sims pregnancy is 90 days long which equals 9 in game months
OMG new Oshin video just dropped! Love love love this new vibe for the videos and the rotational gameplay. I have been thinking about playing rotationally myself and its such a coincidence that this just popped up on the feed 😅. Also, Duncan definitely gives apartment life - there's something about a late 30s not-so-washed up rock star in a grungy apartment. He probably knows the landlord was a huge fan like a decade ago. So, he's able to get a discounted rate for his rent. Which is super annoying since Traci has to pay for everything full price. But, that's how the cookie crumbled.
I loved how all the kids were so different too. I did not expect the game (lite cc and vanilla) to actually act that way. It's making me think I should do a de-cluttering soon 🤔. But, I'm not going to hold myself to it 😅. Anyway still loved the video and can't wait for more! 💙
