I always keep a cut Bobby pin or flattened paper clip in the seam of my sweaters and in a small space in my shoe but regardless, when it comes to handcuffs it really is as simple as it showed except it's going to hurt...A LOT, you dont get handcuffed with some breathing room to move your wrist around so when you insert your tool you have to push it one notch in (sounds easy) but you really have to push it into your wrist to get that one extra notch.

About matches: "pulling" them across the box side like at 2:28 will break them easier. Try to "push" them instead, like at 9:15. (Lean them backward instead of forward.)
About that lost lock key: "if you lost your key you can take the original key and make another, using flame, tape and can tin".
