I have used pieces of fabric at the sides. Works great. The sewing on backing fabric was new to me. I have had to add backing but I took the whole quilt off. Love this tip. My husband has used the hopping foot trick. Thank you.
Hi my name is Lisa and I am new to this craft. I am always looking for instruction and I absolutely love your tutorials. I am learning so fast by watching them. I do not have a long arm quilter because I cannot afford one but I do free motion on my husky. Do you have tutorials on home machines. I still watch all of your long arm videos and use all the training. A lot of the information can be used for both. Could watch these all day.
Wouldn't you be measuring your quilt and backing carefully to see if you have enough? I am a newbie, but I can't see how you would be loading a quilt and end up with a too short backing.
