THAI STREET FOOD at Warorot Market ● Khao Tom Mad, Khao Kan Chin, Khanom Krok & Assorted Desserts

- Опубліковано 8 вер 2024
- Today we head over to Chiang Mai's Warorot Market for scrumptious Thai street food. We dine on Khao Kan Chin (rice with blood), Khao Tom Mad (sticky rice parcels with banana), our beloved Khanom Krok (coconut pudding pancakes), and assorted Thai desserts. As we search for traditional handmade goods of Northern Thailand style, we come across Ton Lamyai Flower Market. On the walk back to our hostel, we stop by temples Wat Lamchang and Wat Chiang Man. Watch to see the action unfold! :)

I'm Thai but never heard or try Khao Kan Chin (ข้าวกั๊นจิ๊น) before. Googling it and found it's a Lanna (Northern Thai) treat. Definitely, will try it next time I go up north.
Yeah in her description she says it's from the north 😊
I'm another Thai who doesn't know, neither.

Glad to see you had a good time in my city Chiang Mai ^^//
I think you should put the prices more often on the things you purchase or show! It's very interesting for me lol. Just a thought. I know you show it here and there but I think it would be cool to see it on every meal you eat or show?
Street foods in Thailand are super cheap. Every items they bought are under $2 USD dollar. The coconut she bought is like only $1.20 USD.

The vlogs are great, very fun and educational.
You are so funny! thanks for making me smile! great content btw :D
Only reason for people to dislike this video must be because it is too short :)

Warorot Market is great. I lived in Chiang Mai for a year and a half. It is the place to be for Chinese New Year.
Walking Street on Saturday and Sunday nights are also cool. The food is always good.
Hi Mina,
I came accross your channel and I have to say I'm hooked on your videos. what you do, traveling and eating food is something that I always wanted to do. I would love to tag along on your adventures with you!
Also, the place you visited is something to add on my 'places to visit' in Thailand.
I wish I could thumbs this up ten times 💕💕💕💕
MINAAA!!! I REALLY REALLY LOVE AND ENJOY YOU TRAVEL VIDEOS IM ALWAYS WATHCING YOUR CHANNEL I LOVE THESE KIND OF VIDEOS, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
Those are not traditional clothes, they're just minority influenced clothes. I recognize Hmong batik and Hmong style pants (the pants you bought), Akha embroidery on the messenger bag, and I believe the hat you bought is supposed to be a Mien baby hat
+Eeluon Thank you so much for the info! I saw some of these goods in other countries after I left Thailand and was wondering where they originated from.
Miss Mina There are many minority tribes in Northern Thailand such as Hmong, Akha, Karen. Those may not be traditional "Thai" clothes but it still represents Thailand in some way. :)
Miss Mina
Miss Minaaaaa 💚💚💚

the coconut pudding does feel good.. i usually don.t like sweet food. but in Thai, the coconut pudding win my heart. and made me eat 15-20 pcs in a row 😌😌😌

Can you travel home with the food or snacks? Yum extra business ideas. Yum want coconut ice cream yum. Got my first coconut. Mmm how to open yum cannot wait.
Hi Mina! So I just came across your travel vlogs recently and have been watching it for a couple of days now. I notice you bought a little hat with all the colorful details with bells from that Hand Made market. That hat was made by my Hmong people of Thailand; typically worn by toddlers. A lot of those hand made merchandise are usually made by the minority tribes in the mountain side of Thailand. It's so great to see all new things you're discovering too. xoxoxo
You two are adorable ladies👍luv the young coconut😇

Kanom Krok (ขนมครก) is made from coconut milk and tapioca flour. There are many toppings: corn, taro, red beans, Foi Thong (Yolk in syrup) , scallion, pumpkin , etc. The good Kanom Krok should 5 meters smell of coconut cooking, crispy at the top shell. It is a bit difficult to find the good delicious one, so I suggest the sample that easily to find, it made from Standard ingredients = Make Sri Ruen (แม่ศรีเรือน - ก๋วยเตี๋ยวไก่ แม่ศรีเรือน) . You can taste the real ingredients from this shop .
Kao kun kun (ข้าวกั๋นจิ้น) is a Northern food of Thailand. It made from pork blood + rice + seasoning.
The Thai dessert at 07:15 is Ka nom Tom (ขนมต้ม) . The white round with coconut flesh. It's made from tapioca flour stuffed with caramelized coconut --> boiled, then served with coconut flesh. I don't know the second dessert.
So unfair I want some clothes & bags & bracelets I would go crazy there , I love traditional ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thia land my hommeee!!! I love my home my fave is pork skin soo crunchy and I love the banana and rice wraps in banana tree leave and the flowers are for munks that walk by and appreciation
