No what I mean lol
Hahahahaha
"isn't that a foul?"
Kobe: "the Ref can't see that"😂
Everythings fair if it isn't called. Even that flying elbow on D-Wade 😂
It's a foul if the ref calls it and if they can't see they can't call it. That's called craftiness
Check Kobe’s palm. His hand is open against his opponent’s body. It’s subtle. Only real ballers understand what he’s meant. Ur probably a kid that got bullied in school so much, u wanted to show’em and teach all them a lesson: shoot a lot of shots👺☠️👻 - at the rim for practice.
@@TheMinimont Lemont wtf you talking about? Kobe was a teacher. Everything he said was plain enough to understand.
Stop acting like you in the league
It is a foul now a days, sometime in the early or mid 2000’s they changed the rule to increase scoring and also entertainment value.
Kobe was a true student, teacher, & genius of the game. This isn’t the most technical thing for lack of better words but when you combine his body of work (and the work he put into it) in all aspects - Kobe is definitely worthy of being mentioned in the GOAT conversations... RIP sir, to you & your daughter. I admittedly wasn’t even a Lakers fan but that fateful day was a sad day in my life as a basketball fan.

Everyday we find a new reason to love and respect Kobe Bryant 💯
Kobe: “Try to crossover”
Guy: “I can’t you’re literally holding my left arm sir”
🤣🤣
"A defender may not place and keep his hand on an opponent unless he is in the area near the basket with his back to the basket. A defender may momentarily touch an opponent with his hand anywhere on the court as long as it does not affect the opponent's movement”
These are the rule changes after 2004-2005 which basically means this would be considered a foul all night long
And that’s why they all soft now
That’s why the early 2000’s was really the best defensive era of basketball statistically
Kobe would’ve made a hell of a coach

"THAT'S A FOUL!"
Not back then it wasn't. This is why the debate rages on, because how can you say players weren't skilled in the 70's through the 2000's? You could literally pin their arms to their body and it be considered hand checking, of course you have a better handle when _the defender can't touch you_
Bc they were playing against plumbers and fireman.
No one says they weren't skilled seriously. But it's clear every generation is more skilled than the previous
Thats not hand checking.. he got the back side of his hand and arm on him
@@zbk1948 the guys of the 70s 80s and 90s are way stronger or just as strong as these steriod guys we have now.. I know cuz I have the same kind of strength
Hand checking and rough fouls don't mean the defense was good. I would say the opposite is true
When he played in that tourney of the America, Olympic tune up, his defense was insane. He was getting 10 sec calls on guys.
One thing about Kobe he learned alot from other defenders but this move Kobe master that as kid
That ball pops out that ball pops out Kobe ❤
Harden literally took that move to his advantage. 😁
He doesn't get credit for that he gets bashed for playing the GAME
"Weekend warriors over there" 😆😆😆 Already setting the tone for when he plays them. I'm going to show you the difference between being a pro & recreational 😆😆😆
So true, and guys like Kobe they truly had that mentality. He could coast and take it easy but he wasn't even going to entertain the idea of some guy out there getting the better of him on some random court. He was going to bury them.
Lot of people would draw the foul here
The game wasn't as soft at the time.. shooters actually had to earn their buckets
Kobe's accent reminds me of home. I lived about 20 minutes away from his Ardmore home and Lower Merion high school. Miss Philly.
Y’all have THE sickest background scores of any shorts out there. Love em all, I swear! 👏🔥💯
“ Weekend warriors “ i love that name instead of same “people who didn’t make it”
Today’s NBA: “Defense? Why would build a fence shaped like a D?“ That’s the extent of their knowledge of defense.
That’s a foul though everywhere else
It used to not be a foul, hand checking and all the contact that came with it was legal. Which is why we beg the younger basketball fans to respect guys at skill positions who were able to be elite scorers when that was allowed.

Advice: "Just foul them."
Ain’t a foul if it ain’t called lol
Happens too fast in real time for refs to see
😂
Can you even still do this in The NBA?
No handchecking is now illegal
Breathing is illegal now
Harden exploited it
Nowadays fools will do a damn jumping Jack to ensure the refs see everything.
Kobe did the same thing including trapping a defenders's arm. The biggest difference maker between Kobe and many others is he finished his motion while showing the contact more subtly so that he had a much higher chance of actually *making* the shot.
I really think Kobe was the best student of the game we have ever seen. And simply one of the best minds in basketball.
The old seatbelt D, could also just pick the cross w/out holding but clever to hide it from a ref. Kobe is a legend
So in other words foul
