I've been following you for over 10 years now, I always appreciate your demos and opinions on gear, I love you videos and sense of humor...thanks Ola...I always enjoy your content ...
I recently purchased this amp after my 6505+ shit the bed for the last time and absolutely love it!!! I also am quite fond of the green channels clean and overdrive sounds. I was really surprised by how much I love this amp, I much prefer it over the original iconic (which I’ve tried many times and never really liked enough)
Ola never disappoints with the new tracks. They seem to get better and better every year. Also The look of the entire package amp and cab look really clean. I dig it
I think this is the best one they have done yet. At least from the sound clips of everyone on UA-cam. I have a capture of the 6L6 version on Tonex but someone needs to upload a capture if this one! Much better!
@Timichaud I know man. First metal band I ever saw live. With norma jean and beloved. Early 2000s. Also, if you like hardcore stuff my band is I Am The Catalyst!
I bought both the EL34 and 6L6 heads. I prefer the EL34. Better tone. But hate the burn switch on both. Way to over the top. I run a TS9 on green channel overdrive engaged to tighten up and an SD1 on red channel. This amp is a very versatile piece of equipment. I love it. Took me a while to dial it in to my liking as I typically use a jcm800.
I been ysing the 6L6 head through a Marshall 4x12 and a Egnater 4x12 they both sound great .This El34 head sounds nice almost tempted to get this version 😂.
EL34s is where it's at. Low wattage amps are great for turning all the way up to get that power tube response. I use a Marshall dsl20 always on 10. Cheers
Although I love my 80w Iconic head in ivory, I'm interested in checking this one out. The only downside is that the green channel isn't foot switchable, though I hardly ever need a straight up clean sound. I get plenty of gain on the green channel with overdrive at or around 3pm, or just a bit higher if the pickups are weaker, plus an EQ pedal when needed.
Personally, I haven’t had the luxury of a REAL tube amp…BUT, I have spent many many moons on a program known as “Bias FX!” 🤘🏻 and I’ll tell u what…EL34 tubes are my ONLY! Any amp I use, immediately EL34 tubes! They have the best “all around” best sound, when used across the entire spectrum! (I.e. clean, crunch, metal)
Thank you for using the matched 5150 cab instead of running it through one of those Mesa cabs that makes everything sound the same. *Edit - 9:55... god dammit. ☹
Absolutely crushing tone Ola! Wow, that amp is a beast! I think I know what amp I’m getting if I ever decide to purchase another tube amplifier. You can’t go wrong with EVH/Fender when it comes to hard rock and metal applications. That amp is so raw and has plenty of saturation in the gain. Ola that song/riff is badass! Thank you for everything you do, very inspiring. 🤘
The 5150 cabinet is not that bad. It pairs really well with other amps as well. I pair mine with a St James, 5150 iii and krankenstein and it sounds great.
Hey man, are you gonna review the new Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ reissue? I’m sure we’d all love to hear your opinions comparing it to your real one. I’m really enjoying mine, but I’ve never had the original to compare.
In this video I'm trying out a new feature... It's called export file with sound. It worked great.
lol…. Thanks for explaining that…. It didn’t get it at first…. Love how you can laugh at yourself over simple little mistakes.
Sounds good to me!
That feature will never trend.
From a pure aesthetic POV, I thought the first video nailed it! Amp looks killer. Amp Looks Matter!!
Sound movies will never overtake the art of silent movies *puts nose in air*
I think “Now with sound” might be my favorite UA-cam tagline
And OHH the sound
The 5150 with the mesa cab "now with sound" sounds amazing!
I just got my first 5150, an Iconic combo cause your videos sounded so great. Sounds killer!
Very nice!
That sounds flippin killer with that Mesa Cab.
I've been following you for over 10 years now, I always appreciate your demos and opinions on gear, I love you videos and sense of humor...thanks Ola...I always enjoy your content ...
Everything sounds so much better in that beast of a Mesa cab 👌🏻
Dude….that switch to the Mesa cab was a no brainer that it sounded PERFECT!
When you chug too hard that your truss rod cover falls off
I think this one of best metal tones I ever heard!!!

How noisy is it vs the 6505+?
Sound was so hard that the truss rod cover was almost ready to fall off. Well done and Merry Christmas!!
Ola never disappoints with the new tracks. They seem to get better and better every year. Also The look of the entire package amp and cab look really clean. I dig it
Fantastic job brother! Sounds great!
Yaaaay I can hear clearly now
Thanks for fixing the sound Ola! Much Better! 😁😎
I think this is the best one they have done yet. At least from the sound clips of everyone on UA-cam. I have a capture of the 6L6 version on Tonex but someone needs to upload a capture if this one! Much better!
Ola has been playing sick intros lately on SWOLA. I dig it
I’m wondering if that was from a new The Haunted song
one of your best recent opening songs!
Such a big big beautiful amp and cab
Another john brown classic. Glad to hear this one!
I wish they did a smaller head though.
James Brown
@@gabrielstevens41 ha! Was thinking about the abolitionist I guess this morning
Jim Brown
Sounds incredible. Love the chuggy-saturation.
What a goose bump!!your song is awesome but also tone.
Love it, really rich sound
this sounds fantastic.
10:51 what a sound mannnn🤘 reminded me The Agony Scene tone from The Tormentor album. Insane tone.
Good stuff!
@thepolishshop Don't understand why that band is not more popular. At least The Tormentor album. So great !!
@Timichaud I know man. First metal band I ever saw live. With norma jean and beloved. Early 2000s. Also, if you like hardcore stuff my band is I Am The Catalyst!
EVH amps rule the planet!!👍🎸🤘
Yes! I can hear now!!!!

Great man ! ;)

The sound is coming from the truss rod cover being in the open position... Lets the neck breathe 😉
Glad to see that truss rod adjustment paid off.
At 2:00 minutes in, now that’s an accent. Love you videos
Great intro jam
Osterriecher
Iconic 🤘
This was EPIC
I like metal tones that you can hear
Now with the noise gate completely disengaged over the video! 😂🤘🏻🤘🏻
oh my god those riffs!!!
EL34s is where it's at. Low wattage amps are great for turning all the way up to get that power tube response. I use a Marshall dsl20 always on 10. Cheers
What a colossal difference in sound when you switched over to the Mesa cab
Sounds angry!!! I love it!!!
Although I love my 80w Iconic head in ivory, I'm interested in checking this one out.

Oh this is the one with sound very nice
This CHHUUUGGGGZZZZZZZ!!!! Especially in the MESA!
But both types CHHUUUGGGG!!!
Just in a different way!!❤❤❤❤
No words amp!
ohhh finally i can hear sound of this amp
Cool demo track. Sounds like a hell of an amp.
The clean sounds really nice.
Sounds soundier for sure
Crushing
I DIDNT KNOW THIS EVEN EXISTED!?!? WTF NOW IM LOOKING AT MY 6L6 ICONIC LIKE WTF
Sounds great
Also with retrospect sometimes sound no video 😅
🤘🤘🤘

I like that frothiness though ! No amount of gain should be tamed 😆😆😆
Again impressive how different reacts different cab
Bro, good call testing the amp with Mesa, sounds way much better with that cab. I didn't like the matching cab at all.
6:20 German appreciation for this, Ola! Sad, but true. But scholzing the noisegate isn´t that bad in comparison.
Thank you for using the matched 5150 cab instead of running it through one of those Mesa cabs that makes everything sound the same.
*Edit - 9:55... god dammit. ☹
lol 😂man he didn’t stay on the clean channel and straight to GAIN ❤🤘🏼
Absolutely crushing tone Ola!
Wow, that amp is a beast!

Ola that song/riff is badass!
Thank you for everything you do, very inspiring.
🤘
I mean… you can… EVH and Fender have been reliably keeping amp techs in business from the beginning.
nice behemoth style riffs!
Ought to do a capture before sending it back🤘
Damn that intro riff was sick
Awesome
Ola, your truss rod is showing!!
That's the Metalzone of the tube amps hahaha!
Sounds lovely but soooo much gainnnnnnnnnnnn
When you crank the mid all the way up, you almost get that Swedish chainsaw tone
That thing sounds naughty!!!
The 5150 cabinet is not that bad. It pairs really well with other amps as well. I pair mine with a St James, 5150 iii and krankenstein and it sounds great.
The burn button is too much sludge. Channel one is all that is needed w/a decent OD pedal maybe an eq in the back.
What's that SICK riff at 0:40 !
Your Shit is Ass - The Chug Project
Great title
Hey man, are you gonna review the new Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ reissue? I’m sure we’d all love to hear your opinions comparing it to your real one. I’m really enjoying mine, but I’ve never had the original to compare.
Yes
@ legend
Sounds like the haunted ;)
I actually do like the sound of the 5150 cab here.
Hello Ola !
its so heavy, the trussrod cover dropped!
The new Helix 2 is expected to include a professional grade coffee cup holder, or at least a high-fidelity model of one.
Why is your truss rod cover loose? What you dooin there? Sounds awesome, love the EVH. thanks for everything Ola.
Adding the tone mug made it extra brown
the 5150 made a helluva lot of noise with the 5150 cab, but I heard the MESA cab "Speaking my tune".
New Improved - Now with actual audio!! Isn't 2024 amazing!!
great intro, i almost heard the guitar over the drums....
@OlaEnglund
When will you do some FRFR cab tests?
I was so early, i heard the chugs when the video had still no audio…
Digging that solar color! What is it?
that thing was chugging as soon as you hit the over drive O.o
I'm really surprised you haven't checked out the Soldano 20 Ola!
That riff sounded Mastodon af 😂👌🏼
Damn!? Sound!?
Satyricon vibes
Could be my speakers here but I dint like the burn, was a bit much if there's such a thing lol, had to adjust that truss rod after it burned ..
The EL34 Iconic sounds better than the 6L6. Honestly shockingly so. Wonder if they did additional tweaks to the circuit and the cabs/speakers.
I think this amp sounds much better with sound.
Sounds a lil harshy!! what speakers inside that cab?
So much gain that the truss rod cover came off.
One cuestión ola!!
What drums plugin use you? Thanks
Låter otroligt
Hey Ola, Make a capture of that and upload it!
Was going to buy a solar guitar but saw the trust rod cover falling off don't think so now
