Pau kept us extremely wowed the whole song, but then at the end Dany remind us why she is the beast lead singer she is 😳. These ladies are not human 😅.
For the typical egotistical rock star you could look at Dany's final vocal notes as a message to Pau as to who the lead singer really is. But getting to know these girls you realize it's all for the song and there's nothing but love and respect for each other. Always one of my favorites. Nice reaction Guy....:)
@@renemonroy214 I wasn't referring to you or anyone but myself. I got that impression when i first heard the band and didn't know much about them. I'm a little bias because i've been around musicians with much to big of egos....:)
A lot of people tend to despise them because Dany doesn't focus on shredding, or Pau on getting wild rhythms out of the drums by moving her arms very fast. But it's not that they can't, it's not that they don't know how: it's that they don't want to. They have a cover of Atlas Rise where you can see Dany's talent leaving the guitar in its bones. Pau has a Drum duo in studio with Faith Benson where you can see that her drumkit is doing what she wants. What happens here is that The Warning's music is not about technical proficiency: it's about songwriting, lyrics, and feeling. And they do that better than ANYONE.
Not to mention Ale doing the Bassline of the song Hysteria from Muse seen here ua-cam.com/video/Qxs0m7GTBh0/v-deo.html they can all do what haters and critics say they cant but none of their songs they write call for seeing who can fucking play their instrument the fastest. to be honest that whole notion of unless you can play fast as hell your not good enough is bullshit and quite honestly old as hell. we've seen that fast drums, fast guitar and fast bass from multitudes of bands over and over and over and over and its getting fucking stale and old.
I saw your other reactions to TW and all 3 of them are very entertaining and interesting. It's a pleasure to share the pleasure of these great creations and tremendous performances by such talented sisters. TW has various styles of rock but they are invariably pure rock!! With its structure, its breaks, transitions, rhythm changes, modulations, choruses, pre-choruses, drum attacks, its endings… The great beauty of their art is in its simplicity but all this always seems to be at the right time and in the right way, bordering on perfection and predominating sophistication. Each of its pieces can be very different, but always with all the TW flavor. It’s very clear that these sisters have no limits. Paulina is a monster! Never ceases to amaze me. BTW, for another good display of Dany's ability to do non-trivial guitar playing while singing something completely different check out "Animosity" live at Teatro Metropolitan or the live session version. She's awesome.
Everyone is on their A game in this one, Ale with the opening base line and then being the backbone of the whole song, Pau singing lead while drumming and Dany coming in clutch at the end with the super long vocal belt, while playing the riff. 🤘🏻
I’m glad you gave your props to Dany. A lot of people dismiss her as a guitarist because she doesn’t shred more. She can, but this sort of riffing while singing is where she really shines.
One of the first few songs I’d heard from them, I immediately knew I was in the presence of something special. After following the rock world all my life, this was something else. A couple years later I still feel more than ever these ladies are the future of rock.
This song is the prologue to their concept album Queen of The Murder Scene which tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder and madness.. Dust to Dust is the first song on the album but takes place after the story of the album and is presented as someone about to tell the story of what happened. "come on in... look what i have prepared to show you... how things can quickly unfold.... " etc.
The thing is their premiere performances at both Foro Didi and Lunario had the albums artwork projected up on screens behind them. Well worth the view. Plus, Rudy (their co/manager) spoke the Spanish warning live with them. Last song composed for QOTMS, and when Pau finished the lyrics and needed to compose the music, Ale told her “I got this”. She was 13!

Ale with that bass line driving the instrumentals through the song, Pau playing drums while singing like and angel, then Dany coming in with her powerful ending WHILE continuing to play that riff - These girls are definitely other-worldly. And we're glad they fell to Earth. LOL
What Paulina does singing as she does with technique and expressing emotions while playing the drums is extremely difficult, and only a handful of singing drummers in the world have this level. Daniela is an excellent singer, but what Paulina does puts her among a very small world elite.

@ThisGuyReacts85 Queen of the Murder Scene is an album that you really need to dive into. In my mind the performance at Lunario is the quintessential version. It was the first time the album was presented in full, and while there are other versions of the songs that are technically "more proficient", they channel the story of a young woman who falls in love, it's not requited, and turns into a stalker. The expressions on Dany's face, the energy they give when presenting the final product for the first time to their fans. Top tier concert.
