By little you will take confidence and you're encouraged to try other tricks. sorry for my English , I hope you understand , Greetings

      Shaun Cooney hey man.. u remind me of me.. i started skating at the age of 14 and i the biggest regret i have in life is stopping... its been 12 years.. and going through the ups and downs of life.. i just got back on my deck again..i am 30 this year.. its been 3 months.. and slowly getting comfortable again.. i have never appreciated skateboarding this much before .. and i hope i dont ever have to stop again.. ive never felt this way about skateboarding before.. first step i took made me feel like the first breath of fresh air again..i guess i really missed it.. its a combination of freedom and serenity and i certainly hope u feel the same way.. :)

    "Cruising at sunset with your homies in the city and its golden hour. Thats the ultimate high." I always hear that and think about 2 years ago when i skated down market street in San Francisco for the first time. Not sure why we were skating down it but it was sunset and i felt free. I felt amazing. Me and my brothers just letting free. Listening to my favorite music. This video has helped me so much. I found this when i was in Jr High and now its my Senior year about to go to college and graduate. I've fallen into an extreme depression recently, and skateboarding has been the only successful thing to help me escape. Re-Watching this after years gives me hope again and makes me pick up the board more often. Thank you Andrew. Thank you skateboarding. Thank you all skaters, you guys are my radical family and i couldn't appreciate the joy skating has given me in words. Words don't describe it. I know one day i'm gonna kick depression right in the face and feel like the free kid i was in Jr. High again. Love always.

    I was watching this when I was 13 going onto 14 and now im 19 about to be 20 in march and its like this video takes me back to when I was just a kid and I could just go anywhere and fucking skate my heart out. Skateboarding has done so much for me and this video helped me understand that I got invested into something truely meaningful. I've been skating for almost 6 years now nonstop and skating now is different because of the responsibilities I have now compared to when I was just a middle/highschooler but there's always going to be a deep appreciation in my heart for what skateboarding has taught me and helped me with throughout the years.

    I remember the first time I saw this video, I was young and still able to skate. I remember stopping the video halfway through to grab my board and skate in the parking lot across the street. I miss those days so much, skateboarding brought something to my shitty childhood. An escape. Something to work towards. Goals. Now as an adult I’m not able to skate because of work and everything else life throws my way. But I’ll never forget the memories and the smiles and laughs that skateboard brought to me throughout my childhood/teen years.

      tbh, im not trying to sound mean or anything, i sometimes dont understand how people cant afford skateboards. I mean like really? you have a family, meaning you obviously have money to support one and probally before that. Im not close to being rich, so dont assume i get alot of boards. I only had 2 so far (both cheap ones from target) for the two years ive been skating and im getting a custom board one. But get out there, get a skateboard and live on!

    This video is perfection to me. The way I view it is as everybody is walking around with boxes on their heads, it is representing the close mindedness of society and how restricted we are as everyday citizens. And the skateboarder taking the box off is showing him finding freedom within skateboarding. As he skates past more and more people they find skateboarding and find their own freedom as well. That is a pretty cool concept to me and a very inspirational and motivational thing to see. Thank you Andrew.

    Being a "skateboarder" is not just riding a skateboard. Being a skateboarder is riding a board, and its the community of skaters that makes it so different and unique. There are so many great people in skateboarding that have made it what it is today. The community inspires me. And like in this video, I know every other skater has the same exact drive as I do. And thats what a skateboarder is.

    That feeling you get when skating, just pushing along a road and listening to music... You know, total serenity, calm, peace... In your own world... Love. I got that feeling just watching this video. I love this.

    This video was effing beautiful, music by m83 fitted so well. So glad I picked my skateboard back up today. I may be 25 now and feel like I'm starting to be a little "too old" for it now I just remind myself that I still enjoy it, it's still fun. And that's what matters

    I am 21 and I recently purchased askate board as I want to learn how to skate. Hopefully over time I become better at is, as it seems really fun. I especially cant wait to just cruise around. Even though I live in the London, and there are not many skateparks/skaters I still want to learn.

    • @GreekFireWarrior
      @GreekFireWarrior 8 років тому

      Ye thanks, just a shame a lot of the foot pavements are uneven and not smooth to casually stroll around town. Here in London

    • @GreekFireWarrior
      @GreekFireWarrior 8 років тому

      Wow, it sounds worse than where I live. I think that, what I think is bad with my pavements, being un-skatable, to a good skater its easy. If that makes sense lol. I might find it alright within a year when I can skate better

    • @GoodTimeFilms

      Yea man not about how good you are or what age you begin skating man, Its about having fun and feeling free, just like explained in the video man. Ive been skating for about 7 years now and it will always have a role in my life whether it is a big role or small. Its almost a lifestyle if you take it that far man! Goodluck and keep at it, dont listen to any haters man!

      GO for it! It is so much fun, even the learning process was fun (to me at least). It doesn't take super long to learn either, a couple weeks if you keep at it.

      Bruh, I'm a 21 year old in the USMC who has been skating for all of 2 weeks now. My suggestion is: if there's a skate park you can get to, go for it. While I started to learn ollies in parking lots and what not, my abilities rose exponentially when I started using a skate park.

    Sure it looks fun...but to the guy who said there is nothing like skateboarding....try free running, try dirt biking, try rallying.....try para gliding...try bungee jumping, dry deep sea diving.....etc etc etc.....I am a biker, i tour with my friends in my motorcycle and i can say its more thrilling and freeing and entertaining and uplifting than skateboarding....sure this will appeal to the respective demographics...but the feels were highly exaggerated and its like held much higher in the pedestal than it deserves....atleast in comparison to the aforementioned activities....still all in all a nice video...

      I wouldn't say any of those things are better, you've got your thing and we have ours. It isn't about which one is better than the other, it's about what resonates with you. Have you ever been a skateboarder? They aren't holding it higher than it deserves and they aren't exaggerating. It's all personal preference. It's individual just like anything else, some people love skateboarding and some people love whatever else. It's all the same really.

      Word, what the fuck bro. I've tried bmxing, soccer, baseball, swimming but nothing compares to skateboarding for me. It is so hard to express how much the sport has impacted my life and this hits it on the mark. Just because you can't relate or understand the message doesn't mean you got to shit on it.. Every one is not the fucking same
