Matt really can do a one take whenever he wants. That man didn't stumble on a single word and he talked for 20 minutes straight
That's what is really impressive about him. He very rarely hesitates or stumbles. He just talks. It's a super rare thing and it means he doesn't have to edit it much
I guess that's a thing you learn, if you have to edit yourself

They more impressive part is when he does the talking while driving really fast through the canyons.

I genuinely hope this place is a big success for Farrah; the guy really loves cars, in a way that just cannot be faked, it’s obvious when you see his personal collection👍

He’s got great taste. Obviously he’s a wealthy guy but he isn’t over the top with it, a lot of people just buy the fastest or the most expensive or the rarest shit possible, they’re all about the numbers. Yes Matt buys cars that are special and unique and will hold their value well but it’s clear that he wants to actually enjoy driving them because that’s what they were made for and where you get the most out of them
Everything he owns is a one-off/extremely rare car: Ralph lauren v12 vantage with manual conversion, Keen safari, countach (not to mention rare spec)...what the hell are you talking about, imbecile?

When I first saw him years ago on the Drive channel I thought he looked like a guy who really wanted to look tough.
You know the look: Dark clothes, matt black sunglasses (never take them off) and a leather jacked to make you look beefy, but you're actually just fat.
No disrespect to the man now - I wish him all the best. But he got to know how he looked back then.

I only dislike that he quit the one takes (for the most part). I've been watching him since garage 419. Matt is the shit
I think it's because on the podcast, he sometimes comes across as rude and interrupting. That and his family's money. He could be seen as an asshole, basically. But, from what people who have interacted with him irl say he's actually a pretty decent guy who is humble and genuinely passionate about cars and car culture.

He knows how to be asshole time to time. But he is cool 95% of the time.
He sometimes comes across as preachy and overtly antagonistic to other's opinions.
On Joe Rogan's podcast, a lot of the time he acted like a bit of a know-it-all and was very negative about things like Tesla, etc... And it felt to me like he did it to gain credibility. But no one really likes to listen to someone being antagonistic for 3 hours. A little positivity and humbleness doesn't hurt.
That said, I don't dislike the guy. But to say "I don't understand why everyone loves to hate on Matt" comes of as a little naive.
opinionated people will always rub others the wrong way from time to time, and that's fine. Just don't always love everything they're doing no matter what.

The title of the video says Matt Farah of the Smoking Tire's Collection, as in car collection not garage collection. I would have been disappointed if I clicked on the video if he had spent 80% of it talking about his facility and only 20% talking about his cars.
Matt you are a super cool guy and your show gave alot of grass roots Car owners their time to shine on your show including the the tuning guru Bisi himself. Even tho I am now seeing it a year after. I hope your venture nothing but blessings ahead.

Matt is a true purist. Most guys park the vanquish and the countach in the garage and wait for it to appreicate in value, but he has "lambo exercise day". He makes time every week to enjoy what what gives him joy, regardless of racking up miles and I love that.

I remember when Pioneer had the Countach travelling to audio stores, I don't remember if it had the CD player in it, but it probably did. No one was allowed to sit in it, but as a preteen, I got to breathe in it while they were setting it up at the store my dad worked at. Good times.

Yeah because the owner of a red Ferrari is worried people will look at him. Please most of the cars in this facility are cries for attention anyways. You think the owners would be sad to be featured on UA-cam? It would make their day.
@@eyesurgeon69 the VAST majority of exotic owners prefer privacy. Exotic brand "image" may not lead one to believe that but it's true. Privacy equals security, and the entire purpose of the place is to offer a secure site for owners wanting a car in that "area" but lacking a suitable spot. Folks "of certain means" will pay to place a car there indefinitely(never to see the light of day) just to have the option of a local car should the need arise. A heck of a business model and a great service if you are playing at that level. (My initial comment was merely rehashing what Matt has stated anyways. Best Regards!)

Funny how small the world is sometimes. I had wondered what happened to Leh Keen as I have the GT2 he drove to victory of OLOA. I hadn't seen much recently from him and that explains it. Nice facility, Matt.I feel so inferior with only stacking 2 cars high in the midwest where land is plenty.

It was Tiff Nedel from fifth gear who said the Countach rides terrible, as a former racing driver and one of the first supercar automotive reviewers, pretty sure he knows what he’s talking about
