And mine. Got it when I was bout 12, 13. Still got it. Totaly played it to death at the time as I loved it so much. Probably still know all the lyrics! Lol.
In my opinion, Madonna's best album. I was 2 years old when the album came out and it was what first introduced me to her. Lots of great songs on there; "Papa Don't Preach", "True Blue", "Open Your Heart", "La Isla Bonita" and "Live to Tell" from the movie At Close Range.
I was born in 1980. I was 6 years old. Back in 1986. I am 41 years old. In 2021 True Blue! Is the best!! And always will be the best!! Its 35 years old now. I have all her cds. From 1981. Till 2021. 40 years of my life💙💙💙💙💙💙❤💚💛💜💙💙💙💙💙
I'm listening to the new 35th anniversary edition of "True Blue". The remixes and extended editions are incredible. Been listening to it all day. Madonna's best album in my opinion.
First LP and CD pressings of True Blue in the UK are quite valuable now, LP is easy to spot as it has Distributed by WEA Records, Ltd. on the rear small print, the dust sleeve is thick card and not flimsy paper like the German printings, and the hype sticker on the front is much larger. CD has "Made in U.K." on the Disc, but it's housed in the German artwork so you need to investigate before buying. The biggest selling album of 1986, as well as the biggest selling "rear patch" of all time. If you had a black bomber jacket and lived in the UK at the time you know what I mean lol
@@nan1577 Live To Tell, Papa and Heart all US number 1s. Blue, Bonita and Papa all UK number 1s. Live To Tell was nearly UK number 1, but kept off by Falco’s Rock Me Amadeus.
Funny how they showed a clip of the Open Your Heart video but didn't play a snippet of the track. Where's The Party could have been the sixth single had she not recorded songs for Who's That Girl.
Yea CD's were out back then just common knowledge- Like Dire Straits album-Brother in Arms was the first CD album to sell over 2 million in the UK alone let alone other countries-How old are you?
and then True Blue was the best-selling album of 1986. On the US only it sold 7 m copies
True Blue is still my #1 Madonna album of all time!
Mine too!!
I agree!

My very first Madonna LP, and I got it for my 11th Birthday in 1986.

I've heard that 4 out of 5 singles released from this album were #1
and the other one (La Isla Bonita) was number 4... but over time it has become so popular it might as well could have been #1

@@scottyunitedboy2925 damn that falco! Lol.
@@scotthawthorne3760 yup, another example of a one-hit wonder keeping Madonna off the top spot.
@@scottyunitedboy2925 totally. Remember his song rock me amadeus. Always used to remind me of someone with hiccups the way he used to sing it.
Ah how I wished I lived to see this on tv

and CD!?? WOW! CDs were there back then!!?
Yea CD's were out back then just common knowledge- Like Dire Straits album-Brother in Arms was the first CD album to sell over 2 million in the UK alone let alone other countries-How old are you?
Totaly. Ya was the posh bees knees if you could buy your albums on cd back then. Snobs of the neighborhood! Lol.
They existed but I understand they were more expensive than LP's.
