Wait this looks so tuff 💪 I think soul lanterns are worth trying out in the cave. Also maybe add some of those like blossom things that make the particles. Might add a little more atmosphere to the forest🙏

Something I feel like could be added is something story related. Creating history for the village like building a wall to bolster it's defenses after the attack of "INSERT DAY HERE". Let there be some rhyme and reason to the structure and planning of your builds, heck it might even inspire some more builds that you might've originally anticipated.
Shhhh I was planning on doing something for the village in episode 10….
6:13 I agree with the dimmer light being a little better there, the darkness(not complete darkness ofc so a light is still needed) kind of adds to the whole mysterious/magical feel I believe.
Edit: I just had an idea, what if you use glow berries to light it up? I think it would match the cave aesthetic so well!

Just binged the entire series up to this point after not being able to keep up due to work and other things keeping me busy. So incredibly happy to see this growth you are experiencing, great work and keep at it! You are quite literally inspiring me to take another shot at content creation, just not sure what to do yet... Anyways, I think some of those "new" frog lights could fit the aesthetic of the cave entrance if there is a color you like instead of lanterns. Also an idea for the next project is some kind of defences, like snow golems that shoot flaming snowballs or something, a wall could be good too. I really like @King-Professor 's ideas relating to that. Another idea would be some housing blocks for your villagers with a market place with your favorite villagers to get your carrots and books. I am so excited for the next episode, can't wait!

Love it! I was never that much of a fan of mixing leaves because there are not that many colors to make different gradients for different trees. Since I like making diverse forests, I feared that using a all the leaves in a single canopy would make the single tree look better, but also make all the trees look the same (when it comes to canopy color)... BUT: This video has sent me over the edge to finally try better texturing for my treetops aswell.
Ikr!! We need so many more leave colors. I’ve gone a little less crazy with the amount of leaves I use since that video, but I still think there’s a couple good gradients you can make with the couple leaves we have.
also i appreciate how you’ve gone for no dirt in your terraformed land. When you speak of “drawing the eye” there’s also the idea of high visual noise, aka where there’s a lot of colors fighting for the spotlight. It’s good to rememebr you’re creating unity amongst the hues present in any build or area. It’s part of why Bdubs palettes look so good, because he extremely limits his block choices

Yeah, I’ve always been a dirt enjoyer, but I’ve recently just been enjoying the pure green grass. You’re right - it’s so much less messy without the brown of the dirt. I think it really lets the buildings and trees stand out.
And don’t worry! Glad I have people watching who are willing to geek out about this stuff lol

WAIT YOU'RE SO RIGHT I FORGOT ABOUT SHADERS. Which ones would you recommend? I might try to do a world tour with some shaders in my 10th episode.
@@shoeler I really like complementary and other shaders that you can configure to look more Minecrafty and cartoonie and less realistic, but some people really like realistic water & stuff. For me it doesn't matter what specific shaders I choose, cus it's more important how you configure them.
Plus my computer can't run complementary so mostly I use Chokapic, Sildurs and Makeup ultra fast.
I did play with bsl and complementary on my other computer and it's stunning, but I mostly edit them to have square clouds and pixel water (like in complementary reimagined) anyway.
So yeah choose whatever runs best and just edit to your mood and aesthetic

The willow tree's being next to the water makes sense. In nature, they are usually found near bodies of water because they love wet soil. Where I live there are places along some creeks that have both willow and birch/aspen trees. So the combination looks pretty good to me. Also your trees are absolutely beautiful!!! And I'm excited to go back and watch this series from the beginning. I love me some solo survival building as that's what I do in minecraft.

Really good vid. Don't feel the need to speed past things if you have a problem with runtime, you could interrupt timelapses in important parts of a build to add commentary

like I have to say I'm late but absolutly stuned. Can't put it into words. I don't know what to say it. Are you an Artist man? This looks so unbelievable good. Also take time we don't want you to burn out. You can bonemeal the Berrys for a litle light or put a light source under moss carpet.
