Oh yeah maybe 🤔 I tried that out when I was testing it and I thought they jutted out a little too much more than the walls, but I might give it another go to see how it looks in context

absolutely underrated channel, wouldn't have been surprised if your vids had 10-100k+ views
some ideas regarding content:
- what i'm always interested in would be your train of thought when building sth. it's always a mystery of "how do these people (you, fwhip, bdubs, etc...) come up with thier builds?" and rarely a good answer, therefore seeing you pick out references, go into creative, build ideas and discard them could be a good opportunity to teach your viewers something and get content/fill your videos :) (even if its just putting your references in the video/a timelapse of you trying things out)
- i think you mentioned it in ep. 9 or right here, but if you are not confident about building actual buildings, on pinterest there should be concept arts on multiple medival-type buildings - those can be great inspiration for the general shape
- going with a "form follows function" approach can also be great to get ideas on what to build. you already mentioned it when talking about the villager-profession-oriented houses, but also farms can be a great reason to build sth (e.g. your smelter could've gone under your blacksmith, a bee-farm in/under a beekeeping, moss farm in/under a greenhouse). this way you can get content by building the farms themselves and also a corresponding build/house.
additionaly, this is a great investment into future videos: you get content and builds, but also decrease the time you spend farming materials and you set yourself up for larger builds (that you complete in less time)
- also a small fishing dock right where your pathway to your "starter house" goes up with some barrels along the path might be fitting (just some slabs/trapdoors over the water with some fences), because who wouldn't want to fish in such a nice lake? this could also be the opportunity to add some fish and sth like sea pickels

I think I'll definitely have to try out making some videos where I talk a little bit more about my building process. It's definitely much easier to just plan out the build in advance in a creative world -- sometimes it takes weeks, months, or even years to make some builds, so I definitely won't be able to always show off and record the whole process. What I could do though is show off the different stages of the building process in the survival world (like framing, shaping, coloring, texturing, and detailing), just so I can show off what was going through my mind back when I built it in my creative world (if that makes sense haha). But, yes lol, it would definitely make content easier to make haha
Thank you for the Pinterest advice! I've actually been recommended that before, and holy moly Pinterest is great lmao. The concept art I've found on there has been so helpful in creating builds, so I'm very glad I was recommended it
OH MY GOSH! THAT WOULD'VE BEEN SO SMART! I 100% SHOULD'VE PUT THE SUPER SMELTER UNDER THE BLACKSMITH! I can't believe I didn't think about that earlier lmao. But, yes! You'll actually see in my next episode, I built a mineshaft entrance, specifically to house my iron farm. I have a bunch of plans for the future in terms of farms and their respective buildings, so that'll keep coming!

Ah yes Euclidean zoning, the separation of land uses by type-residential, commercial, retail, industrial, etc. -each into their own zones or areas within a given city. I know this term and utilize it while planning my city.

Love it!! One question tho, do u have any tips for terraforming? Any at all?
Thanks! I’m gonna make a video about terraforming soon, so I’d definitely recommend checking that out.
Some quick advice:
1. Build by hand. Using world edit is easy, but I don’t think you’ll learn the necessary skills as easily. Terraforming is all about understanding how to build in multiple scales: up close, entity distance, and far away. If you can’t build up close, you can’t build far away.
2. Sketch out basic shapes with dirt. Like I did in episode 8, I sketch out my basic terrains with dirt before adding stone. Then, once it’s all done, I add in texturing.
3. Just practice! Practice really does make perfect. The more you do it, the better you’ll get!

EDIT: Yeah I know a lot of other people who build amazingly but I cant think about anyone at the top of my head rn, you already mentioned bdubs and pearl, and bdubs is a legendary builder, havent seen much from pearl, but I think shes more of a massive scale builder, like I know she built some huge flowers or lily pads or something some time ago.
I used to watch all of those guys a lot before! I think I’ll have to go check them out again and see some of their newer things
