People nowadays think it was a go second battle focused deck Not knowing it has always been a protect the castle stall deck . I remember losing to counterpunch and stalling for a top deck with Veil , it being a fire warrior was so cool

As someone who was a kid trying to stay relevant during Dragon Ruler format, and built Battlin' Boxer using the commons and rares folks at my LGS were throwing out while digging through boxes for Dragon Rulers, I will 100% have to play any decent modern Battlin' Boxer deck. Archetype should still get one more either Spell or Trap in the new set too.
I definitely agree that the best Combo-Centric Boxers build is with Infernobles. I do think Boxers can still easily work as a solid Mid-Range deck since they have 1-2 card lines that not only give them solid disruptions and protection, but also gives them a good follow-up as well. Like Promoter can just summon Uppercutter and Glassjaw for Dempsey. Uppercutter searches for Flamvell Counter, and Dempsey searches for Boxing Cross Counter. Dempsey then can detach Uppercutter on the opponent’s turn to set up Flamvell counter, and get back Promoter. Then Cross Counter can summon Lead Yoke which can’t be destroyed or targeted thanks to Dempsey.
Are you sure? I think Superheavy Samurai are superior as a side engine as they can play around nibiru while also giving you multiple negates, bike's eff to be a LV 4 is nt once per turn which gives you the opportunity to go for another R4 like merrymaker then Gigantic
that and the combo you mentioned plays through Nibiru because all those counter traps you searched are done in 4 summons at max and that's all because of Promoter being a 1 card starter.
Ironically, despite Alito's heavy focus on battling (and countering) it feels like the deck actually needs a bit of raw attack power because outside of Comet Cestus (which isn't even good atm due to needing a rum) how exactly do you out big monsters with protection when locked to BBs.
@@BlackBeartic229 Taditionally rhe the new support gives you Dempsey+ trap + Caesar ( u summon it without RUM , promoter makes all LV 5 ) u still need one more disruption in order to be good to go , maybe keep it pure and make the rest handtraps , Isolde noble knights is a good option too
I'm surprised you're not running Battlin' Boxing Spirits at least as a one-of? It would have been quite useful at 8:30 with Promoter getting Imperm'd: you could have searched Spirits with King Dempsey, detached Promoter with its effect, then special summoned it from the GY and gotten the Rescue Rabbit effect. In any case, great video! It's nice to see that Infernoble Knights can work with the Boxers, even with Promoter's xeno-lock.

I could be wrong tho this is super early testing after all. We’ll just have to see how it performs in the OCG and in the TCG when it comes out.

@@chewdoom8415 The issue is if you try the isolde engine you're legit locking yourself out of the best card boxers got excluding the trap. At that point you're just playing Infernoble with extra steps. Infernoble package ain't even unfair, it's just conflicts with the actual good BBs.
@@BlackBeartic229 The trap is what you need to end on to make board decent in pure. Getting promoter ashed, impermed or veilered is painful. That's why I am not enthusiastic about pure. As far as I know, promoter is the only one you get locked out of and an old battlin boxer, and any non battlin boxer monster locks you from them. It's not even about isolde itself, just those restrictions.
