The Tigers were a huge impact on me as a kid - I even got the AVG logo tattooed on my arm (after a career in the Navy). I hope he passed a lot of that knowledge on to you and your family. Absolutely amazing people in that group.
My grandpa was a great man! Told us lots of stories about his time flying. He learned to fly when he was 13. It’s funny to think of your grandparent accomplishing so much in their life, as you only saw them as the person who would walk you to the corner donut store for a donut anytime you were visiting or the person who would take you down to the dock to call the ducks over so you could feed them. ☺️
My Daddy was at Chenault! He served in the Army Air Corp 8th (Fait Accompli) in England WWII. Aaron Burton Connelly, 03-16-17 to 01-19-87.

Your stay at Channault Museum brought back memories for us. We stayed there in 2019 toured the museum and had a private tour of their hanger where they refurbish aircraft. Great Harvest Host location
Hickory Creek COE is a great campground, but you are right. Many of the sites are not level at all. Luckily I have a fairly small trailer, so I was able to back it up onto mostly flat ground when I was there last October. But trying to hitch it up with the truck pointing down was a bit weird. Happy travels to the west!

Lots of travel in this video, really nice. And Chad, pretty impressive handling that 5th wheel. Of course having a good tow vehicle is everything, speaking from experience with both. You and Tara have a good system going on there for parking and leaving campsites. Always look forward to your videos, safe travels.

The Hickory Creek COE was the very first campground we tried to stay in when we got our Momentum. It was early Covid days (March 2020). The lady at the booth wouldn't take my money or my credit card, trying to purchase the Passport America card. And wouldn't book us, either. Living in Carrollton, we had to park at Winstar World Casino on the TX/OK border, an hour from our home in Carrollton. (Just south of Lewisville.) So glad we got to see some of the campground through your video.
I thought that tunnel looked familiar. Even for those of us who haven't ordered from them Techno RV has awesome customer service. I see that Daisy turned into a dead cat on Friday. I wonder if the Chenault Museum would like my dad's WWII uniform with boots? I need to get rid of it before I go full time in a year or so I really don't just want to sell it to a collector for a few bucks. Good show guys and glad to see you back on the bikes. Keep the good stuff coming.

Great video. I am from New Orleans and have family in Mobile, AL, so it was cool to see the Fowl river and your boating adventures. Have not yet been to the Chennault museum in Monroe, LA, but did get to visit the museum at Barksdale Air Force base in Bossier City, LA located right before you enter Texas.
When y'all were leaving Florida we were heading into Florida to get our RV at Lazydays! We have been through that tunnel several times too! Thanks for sharing! ~ Shion and Matthew
We will be traveling these same roads In few weeks. Great video!! You will love your Berkey! I have mine on edge of sink. Draw out filtered water before we travel into a gallon and half jug and keep that in the fridge. It nests together nicely and rises in our sink when moving.

I thought my 42 foot Cedar Creek 5th wheel was the only one to bounce a lot going down the road after seeing your out takes at the end I guess I'm not the only one Safe travels love the channel
lived in that area back in 2000-2001, it was like being on vacation the whole time. so much to do and see. Went through that tunnel 2 times a day.
We stayed at the Chenault Museum via Harvest Host in 2019. It was great...so much history and information!!!
I love how you pause video to show us the State or City signs! When our kids were young, we'd all yelling " yay, woo hoo - we're entering Texas (or whatever State or big city)!!! So much fun to travel!! 😎 Love the purrr of your bike!! Daisy is just too darn cute! 🌼

Y'all missed out. The GI Museum located just south of I10 in Gautier, Mississippi off Hwy 57. Probably be a little to tough to park the 5th wheel, they have Huey in the backyard. If you ever pass through again, look them up.

It's always great seeing the "Welcome to Texas" signs, but you are right, Dallas traffic horrible.
Well.. we are on to edit #3:I thought I was the only one dealing with these pesky flying insects.
Every time I am on I20 in Louisiana I always say, “I can’t imagine driving a big RV on those horrible roads!” We used to drive food trailers on them and feel like we were going to bounce over!
Same with Dallas traffic! It is horrible!

If you are traveling in the st. Clair Louisiana area the laberge casino exit 4 on 210 is a great overnight stop. We've stopped there several times.

Claire Chenault was born and grew up in Commerce, Tex not far from where I was born and raised....Audie Murphy 🇺🇲🎖 was born and raised not too far north of Commerce...up around Farmersville, Tx......my son and I once saw and met "Tex" Hill at a Houston airshow...he was one of the most well-known Flying Tigers 🐅 that served under Chenault in China

HICKORY CREEK is kinda the go to place herein Dallas. Always something going on there.

Guys...if you haven't been to the World War Museum in downtown New Orleans you MUST go! It will take you at least 2 days maybe 3 days. It is huge and so much to see.

Chad if your interested in seeing a lot of military stuff you should come to World War 2 Weekend at the Mid Atlantic Air museum next year it’s one of the largest in the country.

Two questions - why didn't you stop at the USS Alabama (I mean, it IS real Navy after all) and what were those 'jacks' that came down alongside Eric and Tami's boat motor? I'm assuming some kind of brush guard to go along with the trolling motor.
