That just means you'll have to do your next video a day early!! 😅 This is a great idea, especially for those of us who are massively impatient!! 😊 1 question, what's the difference between that blue and green tape?
I think this is also a good way to give the person wearing it, a way to make it their own by choosing the shirt they want as the background color. Very cool. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
So simple but really elegant! Tons of options with this technique, and you won’t be putting spots into your molds, like that raindrop technique that was huge last year.
Glad you did post today! I have just placed an order with the Resin Rockers for the mat.. and bezels … and uv resin … and! Thanks for the 10% discount code! They asked where we had heard about them so I told them it was via you. 🎉🎉
Oh my goodness so simple, but so nice. I could see the matte one with a beautiful script letter for an initial. Mine would be an A. Of course a person would need to be able to write backwards and have a great handwriting, but practice makes perfect right?! I'd definitely buy one of those! ❤
Nice!! When u said "wire window frame" I thought of flowers in the background to simulate a windowsill planter..maybe a tree behind the flowers on one side, maybe a tree swing, actually any type of scene..moon & stars, ocean view or a city skyline...so many ideas! I've always been fascinated with "windows"..not just looking out...looking in from the outside..not sure why but I've always paid attention to this since i was a child..wayyy back in the 70's & 80's...can you tell 😂?
Hey Daniel! I checked out Resin Rockers gear, 32 quid for 250g? I'm all about the cost and I think they're havin' a bubble! We have different silicon mats, I only ever fill a bezel on a silicon mat, and mine are always clear, I use just the cheap, thin pink ones, A3 size, shiney one side, matt the other, Im constantly chopping them up to fit what I'd doing lol. I'm loving the effect you have here, I can see lots of uses for this technique, as always, thank you for another fab vid! xx
I use food packaging plastics for different textures. I've been trying to achieve the classic textured glass effect. Edit: okay i just watched #238. Thank you!
From the thumbnail, I thought you had put drops of something down first, then the resin on top. After curing you'd wiped away the drops leaving voids. Now I wonder what it would look like if you DID do that, but not very many... then did THIS after, again not too many. Some concave drops and some convex. Really pretty and I do like the textured ones better.
I was looking at the instructions that came with let's resin alcohol inks and your name is on it but they spelled your last name Copper. I wondered if you knew that already?😅 Thanks for another great, simple video!❤
Hi Daniel. I’m new to resin. A month in. My skin has broken out bad due to irritation/rash. I was told that you use a skin barrier protectant can you please tell me what you use? I don’t want to give up on my hobby however literally it hurts. Thank you 😊
Hi, so sorry to hear this, not me, I have no idea of any skin barrier creams, sorry, maybe the person who told you got mixed up with someone else? Sorry
Enjoy your night off Daniel. I love these effects, it's nice sometimes to get back to basics. Can I ask you a question please. I've ordered some open backed bezels, I'm wanting a necklace with a white feather in, would this be easy to achieve or would it spoil the feather? Many thanks Daniel x
@juliechambers1037 Yes, that will be fine 😁 I haven't done it but I presume it would be same method as a dried flower, may need to cure a layer, bond the feather to cured layer before topping up otherwise it will float.
OMG! THIS wasn't meant to be posted until tomorrow 😂😂😂😂 Sorry guys 😂😂😂 My bad! 😂😂😂😂 I will reply to everyone tomorrow, having a night off tonight 🙈 🥰
😂😂 crazy man with cool ideas
I hope you had a great night off Daniel.
That just means you'll have to do your next video a day early!! 😅
This is a great idea, especially for those of us who are massively impatient!! 😊
1 question, what's the difference between that blue and green tape?
Enjoy your night off🎉🎉
Never apologise for giving us a video Daniel! Love this technique - it's really unique. (Hey, that even rhymes 😂). Hope you enjoyed your night off. 💜
I'm a big silver fan, too. Overdosed on too much gold/antiqued gold jewelry in the 80's I think! 😊
Love, love dots and raindrops! ✌🤟
Thank you 😊 🙏
I think this is also a good way to give the person wearing it, a way to make it their own by choosing the shirt they want as the background color. Very cool. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
This is a great technique for adding quick and easy raindrops and wet surface texture to dioramas, models, and miniatures too. Thanks for sharing!
you could also dribble in the bubbles of resin in different colors as well, so you can make a multicolor version of that heart
That would look wonderful 😍
Beautiful! You are a great teacher! I love how you explain the good and bad, thank you!
I watch you because I don't already know! Love
Thank you 😊 🙏
LOVE the painter's tape texture, Dan, and the heart's matte finish. ❤ So cool! In fact, I love them all! Glad you posted too early. 👍😊

So simple but really elegant! Tons of options with this technique, and you won’t be putting spots into your molds, like that raindrop technique that was huge last year.

Nice! They look great as is or they could be starting point for layering other colors/effects. Such a simple but eye-catching method :)
Thanks Jennifer 😊
Southern lady artistic creations used the back of a silicone mold and it worked perfect! I feel that works better!
Great idea! 🤩🤩🤩
Interesting techique!
Thank you 😊
Strange effect with the blue resin tape. The resin surface was undulated. Thank you Daniel!
I really like your work, appreciated😊
Thank you so much 😀
Ooh, so does that mean we will get a bonus video tomorrow Dan? 😂
😂😂 Sadly not, sorry 😂
Oh my gosh, you’re gonna get your beast out? 😮

I love both of the textured backs. I hate using the resin tape, it's always sticky. 😍
Thanks Lisa 😊 🫂
Simple but elegant ❤❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
They’re cool. have you tried dripping clear uv resin into a transparent colour? It gives a nice affect . Thanks Daniel x❤
Thanks, yes, a while ago but not as a video 😁
Love this! Great idea. ❤
Thank you! 😊
Lovely, ?you could put a photo in to the heart❤️
Thank you, yes, but you need to be able to see through 😁

Thanks Pamela 😊 🫂
Awesome
Thanks 😊
You can use coffee filters instead of paper towels they don’t leave any thing
Great tip 👍 😁
@daniel cooper i know your into the nail products. If you really want Matte just use Matte top coat
Yes, I must get some 😁😁
Can I also use epoxy resin if I want to do coasters like this. Its stunning
Yes, just keep an eye on the Drops, you don't want too much as they will self level.
I was looking at the instructions that came with let's resin alcohol inks and your name is on it but they spelled your last name Copper. I wondered if you knew that already?😅 Thanks for another great, simple video!❤
😂😂😂 yes, I did make them aware, I'm surprised they haven't changed it yet 😂
What would you recommend to get an entire transparent look? Acrylic plexiglass is on my mind, but perhaps you have other ideas? :)
Yes, plexi glass may work 😁

Where do you get such a powerful torch? The one I have from HL takes forever.
Amazon 😊😊 links are in the description 😊
Neato!
Have you ever preserved 🩸in resin?
do you do that on the shiney side or not shiney or doesnt it make a difference
If both sides are shiny, it won't matter 😁 if not, do it on the matte side 😁
Enjoy your night off Daniel.
I love these effects, it's nice sometimes to get back to basics.
Can I ask you a question please.
I've ordered some open backed bezels, I'm wanting a necklace with a white feather in, would this be easy to achieve or would it spoil the feather?
Many thanks Daniel x
Thanks Julie, it will depend on the feather, some are colored with dyes which may leak into the resin.
@daniel..cooper I'm wanting to put a fluffy white feather into resin and make a necklace
@juliechambers1037 Yes, that will be fine 😁 I haven't done it but I presume it would be same method as a dried flower, may need to cure a layer, bond the feather to cured layer before topping up otherwise it will float.
Thank you, I can't wait to try it but apprehensive about it
Does he sell the things he makes? I couldn't find anything except resin products.
Sadly not at the moment, I'm a hoarder 😂
Did you top coat it?
Just a curiosity question, do you ever do projects that are bigger and don't involve uv resin at all? If so I'd love to see those videos.
My biggest is coasters at them moment but will be trying bigger things soon 😁
Enjoy your night off. Enjoy a pint or coffee on me 💛
Thanks so much for the Super Thanks Michelle 😊 🥰 🫂
❤
🥰🥰
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
🥰🥰🥰🥰
I don’t like gold either… I’m partial to silver, titanium, platinum and chromium….
Ditto 😁😁😁
:)
😁😁🥰
Hi Daniel i sent you a message via messenger might be in other folder 😊
I couldn't see anything, sorry 😔
… that‘s why it is called silicone mat and not silicone gloss… 😂🤣😂🥹 ok, ok… I will find the door. 😅🙈
