Michael Larson is a game show legend. I was not around when this first aired but when I saw a rerun in the 90s, it was one of the best moments I have ever seen on a game show. Like you could feel the adrenaline and intensity between every spin that he took

25 seconds up the pyramid has to be record. or clsoe to it and i love the celebrities reaction. as i recall he was one of the bettr players nad helped take pyramid for alot of money (well helping contestants do so lol). i don't know if he's genuinely happy for the contestant, not embarrassing himself (cause it's so easy to make a silly mistake), knowing they did it so fast, or all the above but i love the genuiness of it.

It's unfortunate that Michael Larson never got to enjoy his winnings. Half of it was stolen in a burglary almost immediately, and he lost the rest falling to illegal scam artists. He had to flee the state with what little he had left to avoid jail time, then died from throat cancer shortly thereafter, just 15 years after the episode.

Michael on “Press Your Luck” CHEATED by watching the show over & over again for months to learn the patterns the machine took & memorized each pattern & knew exactly when to press the STOP button to land on the big money
So, studying a game show and exploiting a design flaw of said show is considered cheating? That means that Ken Jennings "cheated" during his original run, right? 'Coz he studied the game show for a couple of months before appearing, so he "cheated", right?
I argue that it should. This guy took advantage of a flaw on the big board (in which the board wasn’t really random, but rather it uses six different patterns to make it look random, and he memorized all six of those patterns) to win over $100,000 on that show.
