About Deal Or No Deal: On the hit game show "Deal or No Deal," contestants play and deal for a top prize of $1 million. Courtney actually had the $400,000 in her case the million dollars is in case 16 so she got $100,000 more than what is in her case!
In theory she could have won even more than 500 000. If she had succesfully picked the 100$ and only two cases left, 400 000$ and 1M$, the bankers offer would be probably 670 000 or something like that (since the middle of those two numbers would be 700 000).
But obviously if she picked that 1M$ off the board and then two cases left would have been 100$ and 400 000$, the offer would be lets say 180 000$. That would take some serious guts to trust your own case since it's 50/50 you win basically zero.
Anyways, you propably know this but lets just say that the next caae would have been awesome to see.

@@jenoyt1337 courtney turned into a danmed if you do danmed if you don't situation so at 500k counter she wins cuz if it was 100 k the banker lost 400k to buy it and if it was 400k which i hear it was it wasn't as bad she only lost 100k out of it but if it turned out to be the milion which i heared it wasn't she would have to pay half to get it back so either way she turned it into a win win for her a deal the banker couldn't refuse

I auditioned for Deal or no Deal once. There was a small group of about 6 of us and a producer from the show itself. They ask you a series of questions like what you would do with the million dollars if you won and why you want to be on the show and what made you decide to audition. We never got to meet Howie Mandel or any of the suitcase models.
If the producer likes what they see they call you back to go to their TV studio for a 2nd audition and from there you get to meet Howie and the Models. Unfortunately I was never selected for round 2 of auditions. It seems to help if you are in the Military or a College student. Those people get jumped to the front of the list and almost always get selected to be on the show.

Counterdealing for 500,000 was super smart because if the banker declined then there was a 2/3 chance to get rid of the 100 and then the banker would have offered a deal of about 700,000. If she accidentally get rid of the 400,000 then there would still be 1,000,000 and so the banker would offer roughly about 500,000 anyways. There was also less of a chance to get rid of the 1,000,000.
It still surprises me because if you do the math her case was only worth on average about 450k at that point. The offer was clearly not in the bank's favor even if there was a chance the offer would have to go up, because if she did pick the million it would have gone down wayyy more

I don’t understand any of this game but I still watched this and was entertained.
My boyfriend & I have been obsessed with watching all the episodes of this show on YT since quarantine has started & we've seen like 3 people settle for between $80k-$100k & they had $1M in their case! & one man settled for $91k & he had $750k in his case! 😩🥴 lol I love this show & wish they'd bring it back AGAIN! ❤️
This is a great show with Howie I sure miss this game on TV my favorite would be nice if it comes back to Canada one day I sure can use some money by playing on the show one day .

I wouldn't be upset over that whatsoever!. I'd be going into the game with mere breadcrumbs and no financial opportunities then to come out of it with financial opportunities and a smile on my face.. People really need to see the upside of it and not just what you missed out or could've had, you still won and walked away from it with so much more than what you did when you walked in the door and that is amazing.

yup they changed the rules a bit. they added a counteroffer; but if there were only 2 cases left in play and you went all the way, you weren’t allowed to switch cases, and would have to take your case. in the old version, you were allowed to switch your case
From now on, you can add two more games to this list. Toni Miller went ALL THE WAY and won $400K plus a car worth $55,600. Another of my favorite games was Andrew Shelton. The unluckiest man on earth apparently tricking us all and won $310,000, and his case 23 held $5. How great is that?! Ever since Jorge Montero's game, UA-cam started this copyright infringement and I couldn't see new episodes on UA-cam, UGH!! Please upload all the remaining episodes, THANKS!!
I just realized how hard it is to tell how much bald people age. This show started 14 years ago and Howie still looks like he did back in 2006.

The original cast was the very best the models, banker, and of course Howie Mandel. It was far better in the beginning than the newer version.
yup agreed, the previous models were much better too in fact my favorite lineup was anything before Season 3 since was never happy when Lindsay left her Case 4 spot after Season 2 and never came back.
Is there something about the math I don't understand? Like for example on the last game she has three cases left: $100, $400k, and $1m, which would average out to $466k, but the banker accepts $500k for it. I'm a bit confused
there's a human element to the offers there are times extremely rare times when the Banker will make a more than generous offer in order to bait the player into taking the deal.

I remember playing the Android version a few years ago and getting down to two cases, the $750K and the $1 million. My offer from the banker was $860K. I took the offer. I remember snapping a screen shot and posting it to Facebook. The odds of having the two higest cases left at the end has to be astronomical but I managed to do it. I couldn't believe it.

If you still have the counteroffer option why not? Although it’s only adding some but it’s still good. She has 2/3 chance of getting 400 K & 1 million anyway.

If you'd read the description, it's for Season 5 only.

I had the best possible outcome you could get in the mobile version of this game. I got down to two cases, the $750,000 and the $1million. The offer from the banker was $835,000. It's a very rare occurrence to have the two highest amounts left on the board
