Sash stuck that second good in tail, it was just spunky and wiggled its way off. If you would have been in there you would stuck it a second time and it would have been dinner with the rest. You know I'm a big fan and this was a great ice fishing video with dual perspectives.

People always giving Stupid comments but I have Speared pike for 40 plus yrs in UP of Michigan. Your filming but should Black out the floor an shak pike come to your decoy but the big bright light over top is making them spooked! Thus they call it Black house Spearing! Get that spear head over top of fish straight down an lower the head so just the shaft makes noise! Another reason fish spook is they see your movement in the bright light above them!

Good day of fishing, and some very nice fish. Sorry but I'm always rooting for Sash, she's beautiful and I love her choice in fishing apparel. 🙂Just something you might be interested in for your dark house. I'm from MN and ice fishing is big up here. A friend of mine told me a trick he uses when spearing, and he's been very successful over the course of probably 40 years or more. Get a mirror for a closet door, like 12 X 42 inches and make it so it can be laid on it's side, and adjusted for angle. Not rocket science, just something simple. Set it up across from you so it reflects the water underneath you, and that way, you can tell what's coming in from that direction, even before it gets to the hole. He had a pair of Northern pike on the wall years ago that were in the 42 to 44 inch range, and weighed between 18 and 24 pounds. They were both males and it was after their yearly tooth loss was over, so who knows what they would have weighed otherwise. Good luck, and happy fishing.

Once again our larger bodies of water haven’t had enough time to freeze our smaller waters might’ve frozen for a week and thawed out I don’t think Lake Ontario or my local bay has even frozen over in maybe 3 years now so can only do cold water fishing not ice fishing

A tip you might want to try is sprinkling crushed egg shells into your hole. The white color highlights the fish, and it is easier to see when those ones that use stealth just suddenly appear out of nowhere
