Nice tutorial. A couple of changes that could make the dress feel and look nicer are 1. Our bodies are not the same size and shape front and back so when cutting both the bodice and sleeve, there should be a little more fabric in the back than what is in the front. When looking at clothing or commercial patterns you will see the difference between the front and back. 2. The hem of a skirt isn't cut straight across because our bodies are 3 dimensional the hem sits better if the sides are slightly curved. These things aside it's a very pretty dress, and I'm inspired to try one myself.

I bought a sewing machine a few months ago to make masks for my family and to donate. Then I started looking for tutorials to learn how to sew clothing, which I never have done before. I came across your channel and you are awesome! Probably one of the best sewing tutorial channels out there. I love everything and you make it so clear for a beginner to not only understand, but follow a long and not be intimidated to try. I appreciate how you show every step and even when simmering might not come out exactly like you want, like with the flare of the skirt, you don't just edit that out but you show us how to fix it. That's really great because it gives me confidence to persevere and not be scared that I'm not perfect, the great thing about sewing is being able to make those adjustments. You are just wonderful. I’m glad you enjoyed it 😃 Unfortunately I don’t know how to convert it to a maternity dress although I did make a high low wrap dress as well on my channel where the skirt was made a bit differently than this one (it’s cut as a skater skirt where it flares out a bit more) and I wonder if that particular type of skirt would work better for maternity if you just didn’t cut it shorter in the front like I do in the video. I’m not sure - I don’t have experience with making or wearing maternity clothes - but just a thought since it does flare out a bit more, it may work a little better!
