Yeah for sure, I hope the grind is heavy but was not a fan of the grind and then RNG setting me backs Shit ton in AA, bit of RNG in crafting is ok, but all the time in ever aspect of progression is just tedious. Not long now and we'll be in.
Good video! Lots of similarities in the crafting/enchanting/tempering systems between AoC and Vanilla Archeage. Obsidian didn't exist on Launch. The highest tier gear was Delphinad. The current AoC crafting systems reminds me of that time.
Yeah when I was researching it reminded me a lot of when we played the archeage classic private server last year and I thought id drop it in at the end as i know a lot of people enjoyed Archeage's gear grind but hated the RNG that came with it and with Archeage official servers closing down maybe Ashes will be the game for them. I can't wait to see how the system plays out in game i think it will be a lot more rewarding than other MMOs as you know youve put some good work in for the gear.
I loved the gearing system on Archeage and can't wait to try it out in Alpha 2 its one of the things I am most looking forward to and definitely plan on maxing my Artisans out on the gearing side of the profession system.
yeah it was decent but a massive grind when the pay2win was taken out of the AA unofficial servers as the full thing seems built around pay2win. With the way ashes are doing it i feel it could go in the right direction.

aoc is mix of l2,gw2,aa and this is what we need.Every mmo have some new features,but AoC use a brain and mix it and make it best possible mmorpg,but let be honest every mmo is grind some way harder and with crazy rng!Point is make it good combat/mehanics in the game and optimization!
Grinding for me and a long term grind is fine and I am more than happy to do it as long as it's not done deliberately due to lack of actual good content within the game. Its the perfect blend what your talking about and the way ashes is doing it I'm more than happy with. Played a fair bit of archeage but never played lineage 2 but done some research on some of the systems and seems like it was a good game.
