Man, despite being hated, this game is not so bad as people claim it to be. I mean, back in the days I played this game and had fun. Sure, it is not perfect, especially in the parts when you have no idea what killed you, or when difficulty spike happens and you have to find a way to work around it. But despite that, this game is cool. Visually it looks good for it's time, weapons looks, sound and feel good too and in general, if you don't ask too much from this game, it could give you a fun time. And come to think of it, I have to replay it again because, it was a while since I played this game last time.

You just don't hear this kind of sound design in today's games. I like how powerful every single gun sounds. And I also like that the shooting animations show a lot of recoil.

This game was fine as a mindless shooter, but the SOF series deserved better.
Credit where it's due: Those fire-selector animations feel like they're a cut above the rest.
