    I have 3 Penn 930’s I’ve fished for over 4 decades. Thanks for posting this Dennis, I used this video to service all 3 and they run like new! Thanks from the beautiful Jersey shore!

    Dan Hernandez loved to use these reels. Would watch him as a kid on TV and recall him using this reel a lot for inshore Saltwater bass and other smaller fish.

    How come you didn’t put on the two tension springs on the handle shaft ?? Unless I missed it ? One goes on after the drag system and one on outside after covers on before crank ?? I could be wrong tho that’s how mine came apart . And did you grease the bridge or not ?? Great video though ! Wish the pawls were still available. You ever change out the bearing on one of them ?? Love to see that !

      I will need to re-look the video. Sometimes the video is edits and steps are removed. I am sure the parts are on there because I use a parts try and nothing ever remains in it when the project is completed. Thanks for the note - Dennis

      Dean - the Penn parts distributors that I use no longer carry that pawl, so I think the general answer is no. Thanks for asking - Dennis

      Thanks anyway Dennis much appreciated..
      Also I know you have a handle nut spanner but for those who don't I discovered by chance that the 13/32 socket I found in my mini socket set fits over perfectly and allows tightening and removal.
      The 6 small scallops in nut sit perfectly central in the 6 flats inside the socket, just a little tip for those who cringe at pliers being used 😂👍

    The problem is that the spool gear popped out and idk how to put it back in!

    • @2ndChanceTackle
      @2ndChanceTackle  2 роки тому

      You need to raise the yoke in order to install that gear. You should also remove the main gear before starting. You should be able to raise the yoke by putting the reel in free spool. That will give you the access you need to reinstall the gear - Dennis
