I did my best at adding captions to the currently unreleased Lovejoy track "Call Me What You Like", there's a good chance alot of these are wrong, I did this at midnight :)
[01/02/23] Update to this, at 1:28 the correct lyric is "pink roller blinds" instead of "paint on the blinds", apologies to all the people that have learned false lyrics because of me, I am so sorry.
(Ash from Lovejoy gave people the okay to upload this song back before it was officially released)

Since I hered that starting melody in the February vlog when the band was talking about beards I knew it was gona be the best ouf of the new ones and this proves my point

@@omnomurmum I dont think im that great at singing or playing instruments but as I analyse the song..I have realised, it *is* an unfamiliar chord progression, but it has familiar chords. I don't know which chords go to the start, but at the chorus, it uses Cm, Eb, Ab/Bb, and F, which are mostly reoccuring chords used in Concrete(Cm, Eb, Abmaj7, Ab, Bb) and Perfume(Eb, Cm, Abmaj7, Bb) from Pebblebrain album..If I recall, the songs that used F chord(at least whenever i sing wilbur/lovejoy's songs as covers) are Jubilee Line and maybe Sex Sells. So yea..hahah- if u want to me to sorta demonstrate it, I think I can-

Wilbur or Lovejoy's style tend to repeat chords so if they used Cm, Eb, Ab/Bb, and F..maybe u might find them again in the verses, so hopefully you'll figure it out too bud- Im still figuring this song out myself^^

Oh my god I cannot WAIT for this one to come out! This and Golden Hour are my favorites so far! But I gotta say this might be my new favorite. Between the dynamics and the use of chord progressions in this one, I really love the vibe of this one. Lyrics are kinda quirky but I can probably get past that XD
I can't decide between the other 2023 songs, but this seems to be my favourite of the moment

In my opinion, I like this concert version better because of the higher tempo and the agressive sound. The version that ended up releasing is also good though!!

How on earth is this song so incredibly good
I really like the absurdly fast tempo here compared to the final version. I just love how high energy the entire song is, and the chorus feels absurdly energetic. And I love how they play the catchy riff after the chorus twice here. Especially after first chorus where they at first play it slowly and then play it faster the second time. It just feels so cool and I wish they kept it in since it's probably my favourite part of the song. Basically I prefer this version over the final version even though the its still pretty good.
Both have their upside, though if I go to another gig and they play CMWYL, I'd rather it be more similar to this

After listening to the official version so many times this feels so unreasonably fast. I think I like this tempo more than the official version
They're both quite different and I like certain aspects of both more than the other, but overall I'm a big fan of both versions of the song

@@reedsminecraft will does most of the lyrics joe is more of a melody/instrumental writer, most likely it was lyrically written by by will because of the Los campesinos influence but joe had influence and helped edit/write some of the lyrics, also i was trying to clarify the original point

I'm not sure for certain but you may be onto something, unfortunately we'll just have to keep guessing until it's officially released next year.
