Loved listening to you! You said everything we need to know and plus you added humor into thi video that I enjoyed very much...I am not finished the slippers yet as I modified them a little. Thank You
Thank you so much Charlie for such thoughtful feedback 💕 I appreciate it. It encourages me to keep going💛✅ and you are absolutely right about the words we say…. Some may take the meaning as something totally different 🤓 thanks for subbing💛
I'm kind of weird, and can't stand looking at people's feet. Thank you for the sock! :) I know, weird, right? I enjoy your videos so much. This looks like a great method for a slipper!
I absolutely love your details on making the pattern template! I was so impressed with your video, I ran out and got the fleece, foam, and anti slip fabric right away! Followed your instructions for creating the pattern and made a pair tonight! What a treat! I have larger feet (for a woman) and could never get slippers to fit! Thank you so much!! I am going to ask my cousin if she wants me to make a pair for her, as she has 2 different sized feet. That would be truly meaningful for her! Love your tutorials!! Thank you again!!
*_Thank you for the great feedback on the slippers..I love when I get to hear about something actually working from one of my patterns💛This pattern will work awesome for you cousin too💛 Happy New Year🥳_*
I wish I had seen this 20 years ago my mother-in-law used to cut holes in her slippers so they were more comfortable for her bony arthritic feet. thankyou for sharing. Merry Christmas.
I am so impressed with your tutorials. Easy to follow instructions. So kind of you to take the time to share this with all of us. Definitely on my to do list!🙂
Thank you for the video. Great pattern! You can also use shelf lining for the bottom piece instead dotted fabric. I like your pattern better for a custom fit!
I like it....I'm gonna try and make some for my grandkids for Christmas. They are homeschooled, so this will be a perfect gift for them. Thanks for the template.
A year later I needed help and couldn't find this and panicked as it's what taught me in the first place. scrolled thru many videos before finally finding it again thank heavens
They are fantastic. Especially as i have really long feet , and suffer from lyphodema in my liwer legs and feet. Impossible to find shoes and slippers to fit. I hop i can get all the clothes used. Thank you so much xx
thank you so much for this tutorial .. is was very informative and you do a very good job on teaching how and why you do what you do .. again thank you
Tracy, perfect timing! My husband and son in law, both wanted slippers for christmas, unfortunately they both have huge feet and couldnt find anything that would fit them unless i wanted to spend triple! I just bought material and thought how hard can it be....ive been trying to make my own pattern...a lot harder! I was just about to give up and.....drum roll....your video pops up to save the day! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Merry Christmas!
I can't wait to try and make some of these for my mom!!! Her poor little feet are always cold. I am nervous about drafting the pattern. She is 91, so they have to be a good fit like you have. I think it will reduce chances of her falling.
OMG oh my gosh. Absolutely brilliant. Incredibly divine. Thank you for your tutorial. Now to go get some fleece. Thanks again so much. 🐝 safe and take care.
Great video! I know I'll make a few pair. Now I'm also trying to figure out how to I apply this to make leather Moccasins. Had a pattern my mother and I used when I was younger to custom make our own but it's long since gone. This is the closest type of instruction I've seen for recreating a custom fit. Nice job.
Will be a fun sewing project after I get my Christmas sewing projects done! I sure could use some soft fleece slippers to keep my feet warm while watching TV at night. Thanks, Tracy!
Made slippers for myself years ago by using old shag carpet. It's soft on your feet, and I even re-used the old rubber underlay by gluing it underneath as a tread. Instead of throwing old threadbare carpeting away, it's a great way to re-use it.
Thank you for this it’s great can not wait to make them. Will be great gifts my whole family always has something on their feet. These will be perfect for my mom so she can’t slip. I do wish u would have put washing instructions on there. I would think cold water delicate and air dry ? Plz let us know. Thanks again for a great video.
Ok I’ve been wanting to make these and I finally did today. Everything worked well except the final stitching around the perimeter. Even with the grip side up, it would not go thru my machine. To remedy this, I placed a piece of tissue paper over the grip material. While it was kind of a pain to remove the paper afterwards, I was able to sew the top to the bottom with the top on top.😂 I am wearing them right now and they feel really nice. Two other modifications I made were I trimmed the binding down a bit because it wouldn’t lay right, and I zigzagged around the perimeter for extra strength. They are so comfy!!!
These look fab! Really comfortable! A tip though, when filming making the pattern, two different colours of paper might have been easier to see on camera, but it's no biggy, just an idea!
Not adding the non slip on the bottom but did use some denim because I only wanted to use these when I'm in my room or laying on the bed reading as my tootsies get a tad cool about this time of the year. Now if course the first time I go out on the non carpeted floor and land on my bottom I am so gonna wish I had put it on. lol. Great pattern and will make a pair tomorrow.
What do I think? They're fabulous!!! I have small feet and so hard to get anything to fit unless kids wear them too. These will be so good. It's summer here so I can get a head start for when Autumn comes in around March, early morning and night it's nice to have cosy feet. These will be just the thing. I'm so excited. Thanks Tracy.
I think I might actually wear slippers like this! I hate shoes but in winter my feet get cold. I hope I can figure it our! Thank you, next year’s Christmas gifts!
Wonderful! Adding this to my short list! A colorful binding would look nice on those exposed seams as a little something extra especially for gifts. A serger would work great to sew together as well. Thank you for a clear, useful tutorial!
That you for this amazing lesson! I've been contemplating making myself some summer shoes, or slipper like footwear. Your way of making the pattern is a great time savings for me! Bla bla bla I combined a bunch of stuff and found myself totally confused as to how I somehow managed to make such a nice slipper a year ago. It was you! :) The separate right and left foot shape makes these truly special! That in and of itself is enough to learn these! Shoes have right and left feet for comfort- why not slippers! Love these. Will be trying to make them.
I made my pair based on your video, but I used an old Christmas decoration pillow cover. So beautiful! Thank you!
Thank you! I just made a custom pattern for slippers on my own... after watching your tutorial I now know where I went wrong! hahaha. Love it thanks!!

I have man feet (size 11) did her measurements fit you? How did you adjust them if they didn’t? Her foo looked like a lot smaller than mine. 🤭
beyond cute those baby slippers
Thank you for a pattern that is neither too loose or too tight, but just right! Great instructions, clean, concise, complete!
*_You are so welcome Sunnee!💛_*

I like it....I'm gonna try and make some for my grandkids for Christmas. They are homeschooled, so this will be a perfect gift for them. Thanks for the template.
That's great Charlida!!! Start on those Christmas gifts early!!!!🎄
Last year I was done with making my Christmas gifts two months before Christmas.

I can't wait to try and make some of these for my mom!!! Her poor little feet are always cold. I am nervous about drafting the pattern. She is 91, so they have to be a good fit like you have. I think it will reduce chances of her falling.
You can do it!...and if they don't fit right the first time then tweak it a bit and try again....it won't take much fabric and time to try again ✅💛
@@TheSewingChannel thank you. I will. ❤️
Wow! Fantastic!
Many thanks!💛
This is great! I am going to be asking my family to send me copies of their feet tracings ! LOL Thank you.

These are cute. Yes, it would be very nice to have a pair of slippers that fit my feet. Thank you.
*_These are so comfortable Arvetta! Feels like a second skin✅_*
These are great! I would make 2 patterns - one foot is a half size smaller than the other. No more choosing too loose or too tight!
That's great! now you can make them to fit!!!✅
Great video! I know I'll make a few pair. Now I'm also trying to figure out how to I apply this to make leather Moccasins. Had a pattern my mother and I used when I was younger to custom make our own but it's long since gone. This is the closest type of instruction I've seen for recreating a custom fit. Nice job.
Thank you for the kind words Mary💛 try making a mock up with similar fabric and test and tweak as you go✅
Wow Tracy how neat
Yes...I love these slippers💛
Will be a fun sewing project after I get my Christmas sewing projects done! I sure could use some soft fleece slippers to keep my feet warm while watching TV at night. Thanks, Tracy!
*_I totally agree with you...I need warm feet while watching tv at night too...and they are soft enough to even fall asleep in✅💛_*
LOL! I fall asleep in front of the TV a lot! How did you know?!?! 🤣
*_LOL probably because I do too LOL😂_*
Made slippers for myself years ago by using old shag carpet. It's soft on your feet, and I even re-used the old rubber underlay by gluing it underneath as a tread. Instead of throwing old threadbare carpeting away, it's a great way to re-use it.
*_Great repurpose idea✅Thanks for the tips✅_*
It is interesting how you do the pattern and sew them. I will try this. Thanks again
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for this it’s great can not wait to make them. Will be great gifts my whole family always has something on their feet. These will be perfect for my mom so she can’t slip. I do wish u would have put washing instructions on there. I would think cold water delicate and air dry ? Plz let us know. Thanks again for a great video.
Washing instructions depend on the type of fabric you use. I washed mine in warm and put in dryer and they were fine.
oh my goodness those are so stinking cute!
*_Right?!_*
What a cool pattern
Thank you ❤️

Great idea! Now to get the measurements right! I want some of these! Thanks for the pattern and tutorial!
*_You are so welcome!💛_*

*_Thanks Linda! Super comfy💛_*
I made sleeping slippers, my toes freeze at night…I took an old wool vest sweater and made comfy covers that slip off when I get warm enough!
These look fab! Really comfortable!
A tip though, when filming making the pattern, two different colours of paper might have been easier to see on camera, but it's no biggy, just an idea!
*_Thanks for the tip! (wish I would of thought of that when filming). Next time!!!✅_*
Adorable, and they look so comfy!!
Super comfy Patricia!✅

Denim is a great idea for the bottom! very durable too. maybe put a couple glue dots on bottom so you don't fall 🤣✅

That you for this amazing lesson! I've been contemplating making myself some summer shoes, or slipper like footwear. Your way of making the pattern is a great time savings for me!

Thank you for the kind words sistermaide💛 Welcome to my channel!

You’re welcome 💛
These are nice! Wonder how easy to make they'd be with a hand held stitching gadget? Think I'd leave the extra sole layers out and use for boot liners/bed socks. They look great, and i love the sherpa detail.
Great idea!✅
Pretty cool. Try using a Walking Foot on the next pair.
Thanks for the tip✅
I combined several sewing tutorials to make some slippers when I was first starting. I had no idea how to sew and had to make like 8 slippers as I was too ambitious. In the end I finally made the slippers I'd hoped for.
Now a year later I'm looking at them so puzzled as I didn't appreciate at the time how I credibly nice the slippers truly are! No other tutorial includes the pattern details you do here.

Thank you thank you thank you. A whole year later, thank you.
Thank for the great feedback! You’re awesome ❣️
I just love them cant wait to make them
Have fun making them Phyllis💛
Great video. Nicely explained. Thank you so much!
*_You're very welcome Patty💛_*
Slippers look great! I didn't see or understand how much further to go up on the toe when making top pattern of slippers
When you fold sole pattern (lengthwise)- while folded one side is higher. Trace higher side toward fold gradually with pencil curve up a 1/2” to fold. ✅ I hope that helps👍🏼
@@TheSewingChannel I'm sorry but I don't understand this at all. I'm so frustrated trying to figure out what you are saying to do.
You Rock!!
*_Thanks Loretta🤘🏻🪨so do YOU💛_*
Awesome!
