She really took a risk with this tempo and I absolutely love it. I've heard recordings of her rattling it off and this is just unique and different and I love you for it, Cecilia Bartoli! What a tremendous artist! :-)
One thing for sure, only truly great artists can generate such passion and dislike at once, people do bother saying bad things about a great artist like Cecilia Bartoli, I think this actually says something about her great artistry...
Real singers make the listener feel like hih notes are as easy to sing as low ones. Bartoli is one of the, that why shes so nice to listen to...amongst other reasons as well!
Does anybody know where she is singing this? Though it may be a tad bit observant, the room she is in carries the sound of her voice beautifully. I just love the way she sounds.

La letra de esta Canzonetta es extrañísima, para mí no tiene ningún sentido, hay varias versiones, la misma música pero muchos cambios en la letra y todas son loquísimas...pero para mí la mejor interpretación que he escuchado es la de Cecilia
Tiene una historia detrás pero usa palabras no tan comunes como las prendas celebrar: "celebrar los dones de la musa" creo que toca tomarla con diccionario en mano.
En este album de Live in Italy veo a la Bartoli un poco más comedida en cuanto a gestos etc, Me gusta más cuando se desmelena como en el otro vídeo de Canzonetta Spagnuola. Aunque la interpretación es maravillosa también, no sé, como que aquí no es ella. Ha sido muy criticada precisamente por esa forma peculiar de cantar y quizás en esta época intentó comedirse, pero la cabra tira al monte afortunadamente.. No hay más que verla a día de hoy, que vuelve a ese desmelene con sus gestos y todo eso que ella hace y que la hacen única. Me encanta!! Viva Bartoli
