What kind of shears do u use to make his face round. I have to invest in some really good shears. My dogs are 3lbs ea full grown and their Yorkies. I want to learn how to groom them well.

I’m amazed at your work with the shih-tzu puppy. My sister has a 3 year shih-tzu. He goes to my goddaughter groomer and she does a great job but Winston is not easy. He has a calming pill before going. I’ve just started watching her to learn grooming. The puppy bear cut is precious. I’ve got a long way to go.
I have a little rescue Maltese and I’ve been his groomer for his whole life (except for one time). He’s 7, and medically so fragile. Your videos are helping me so much, thank you! ❤

Very helpful! Such a well behaved little guy! My 6 month old Shih Tzu is so squirmy about head grooming. Especially helpful to see how you hold his head to keep him still. My pup has similar coloring but he started out with black ear tips that will be gone if I give him the short ears I’d truly prefer. Such a tough choice LOL.

Been enjoying your video shorts and tutorial videos. Here in Tulsa Oklahoma, a lab retriever was beaten to death by a local groomer this summer- and due to lack of animal protection laws, the owners have already changed locations and opened another grooming business under another name. As I watch your gentleness and sweetness with the pups- I can’t help but think of poor Atlas. Thank you for treating them so nicely.

I got my puppy back from the groomer the first time I brought him and got him back without lashes, she cut them (accidentally) off. Now we’re on the journey of growing them back 😅

New to your channel and loved watching you groom the adorable shitz-shu puppy, btw you did a fantastic job with him. You also handled him with kindness and respect, he in return gave calmness so that you could groom him perfectly for his age. Am hoping that you could do a Maltese puppy for me, as I will be able to watch you groom one to see how they should be done with a good puppy hair cut. I need to have mine done with a short hair cut as I am disabled and need my fur baby to be short and easy to care for. Could you please show me how you would recommend a short haircut for my baby girl?

It tells me she is truly knowledgeable when you listen to her talk possibilities prior to her performance. Definitely Gold Medal Performance! Oh, the dog also was deserved a Silver Medal! LOL

Wow. So much went into this groom. I thought he looked amazing 3/4ths of the way through. So much time and detail went into this groom. You took the time to explain what you were doing in each cut. To create a near perfect cut. Making the dog look as close to perfect as possible. You truly have talent and a way of expressing it in simple terms for people to learn when watching.

Not only is he literally the most beautiful smoosh i have ever seen. Hes a legit perfect boy. I have always been obsessed with Shih Tzus my aunt had 5 and had a Zuchon until my evil whore of an ex wife stole it. But after this video i am buying a Shih Tzu puppy this week! Hope hes one millionth of as good a boy as he is!

I brought my shih tzu puppy once to a groomer. He charged me extra for removing "matting" which he did not tell me at the outset and I know my puppy didn't have since I brush my dog every day with both a slicker and pin comb. I also meticulously check if she has any matting. It usually takes 20-30minutes per day doing this. He showed me some of the hair removed after using a deshedding tool, but I read somewhere that deshedding tool should not be used in shih tzus since they don't shed much and less dense undercoat compared to other dogs. Should I find another groomer?

He does well with grooming mostly likely because the owner works with him at home. She probably trims him between professional grooms and bathes him etc. The owner is doing a great job training her fur baby therefore, making it so easy for the professional groomer. Thats what I do on my 15 week Shih Tzu. I do alot of daily training with my Shih Tzu. I don't wait for the groomer to do the training.

Hes doing really well for a 5mo old. I had one that I wasn't able to do he was waaaaaaay too jumpy I was being gentle and letting him get use to everything just like u did but he wouldn't be still enough! I would try to gently hold the beard and he just jerked away. This baby is beautiful by the way

I have had three Shih-Tzus in my life and of course I loved them all like a person but I have to say, this puppy is the most adorable Shih-Tzu I have ever seen!! What a sweet boy!! My pupster is 7 years old now. Time flies! I remember when I picked her up from the breeder and just like my first Shih-Tzu, it was love at first sight. Great breed. I can’t imagine not having a Shih-Tzu in my life. My last one (he passed away in late 2016, he loved sitting in the shallow water of lakes and going on canoe rides! What a dear he was. Anyways, just love the way you trim puppy Shih-Tzus….he looks so sweet!!!
