Your jig systems are genius. Especially the post jig. I’m genuinely impressed.
I have been fighting doing my fencing on my barn but now after watching your tips and tricks I’m feel more prepared to start. My wife would be happy knowing I’m ready to start lol! Great video!
You can do it! Not going to lie...it's a job! But the reward and savings have been worth every ounce of sweat! lol
Did something similar with 2 exceptions. I sandwiched 2x4 welded wire fencing between the post and boards and used 16 ft boards with staggered joints.
Great video! We need to build a fence around 5 acres plus pens and I really want it to be as pretty as this one. We are newbies and stressed about the how-two’s. This was very helpful!
Glad to hear that it helped. I'm sure your fence will turn out great!
Thank you for the vid. Just watched your several times and put mine up
Just a fantastic video! Well done!
What type of laser did you use to mark the post? Could you make a video demonstrating that?
Great job...love the jig ideas as it's hard to do this with just one person..
Great vid, very helpful. Thank you
Great video and very helpful
Great job. Thanks for putting the effort into videoing this for us!
Smart. Great looking fence
Good job. Very organized and clean.
Great job and very informative
Smart...thank you
Great video very helpful.
Very nice and informative 👍🏾 👌🏾
Great Jig system!!!
Watched this whole video. You guys are great. Good job.
Great video.
Beautiful fences!
G'day mate! Really enjoyed your video and your jig system is brilliant! You are a fair dinkum legend. Cheers 👍
Nice video. New sub here. Audio was a little low on my end but could make out most of it. Like your jigs, works smarter, not harder. Well done Sir.
Great video!!
Great idea. Sure that went quick once you got your process down.
Great Video! Wonderful details and tips!
Did you ever paint it white? If so, can you please post a video of that too?
Great tip on setting the posts a few inches shorter for your on-center distance to give yourself some wiggle room.
this is very wholesome!
Nice project. Are the boards 2x6 pressure treated?
I'm getting jiggy with it 🤣🤣 na not corny at all, that line brings back good memories 😎
Love your jigs and the precision they result in. enjoyed this very much Thank you
Legend has it, NASA hired this guy. We need men on Mars with this type of enginuity.
This is the most beautiful farm fence I’ve seen. Could I keep pigs in this type of fence without electric wire?
Sick jig!!
If you add another block to the top of your jig that will sit on top of the previous board that is already screwed in, the jig will not slip down under the weight of the unscrewed boards.
How wide were the post holes, 10 or 12"?
How does this cost compare to sat white PVC or split post?
How many feet apart did you plant the post 🤔, this a project I'm soon to do
Were those posts 4x4x10s?
great vid, that jig was what i was looking for. volume was a little low. pls keep nailgun pointed in safe direction ;p
How far apart did you set your posts?
How far apart are the post
How much did this project cost you per linear foot, approximately? (Apologies if you mentioned it already & I missed it)
You don't need to pre-drill with GRK screws.
Great video... how far apart did you space your posts? Also are the rails deck boards?
He stated 7' 6''
I am so jealousy of your flat land haha! I’m building a fence around my hillside home and boy i tell you it is HARD!
How many acres did you cover? And approximately how much did it cost you? Looking to do this for my own farm.
We have 20 acres and only needed to cover two sides, approx 2200 linear feet. Material costs were around $2.00 per linear ft. Hope that helps.
looks amazing - why did you not use round fence posts? (just curious)
We wanted to put solar cap lights on the fence and those are square, so we had to use square posts.
Great video! How deep did you sink the posts?
2-3 feet in to the ground
Why screw and nail
Does the 1x6 warp over time?
We painted our fence white, so it has a layer of protection. We have 4-5 boards that warped. The majority of them stayed in great condition.
No trying to be negative but i think those screws are for inside use only
Not to be negative, but isn’t the nice side of the fence supposed to face the road and not the house? I’ve never seen a fence where the boards face the other side of the road?
Lol! Great point. We had several discussions on the best way to set the fence. We even set up a sample run. In the end, we decided we liked it better the other way.
I was thinking the same thing. Not being negative at all it looks amazing but my wife would murder me if I did the fence facing in and not the road. I’m getting ready to start mine after see8ng this tip and tricks this was great
This is the proper way to face the runners if there is livestock being kept in. If the runners faced the road then a cow or horse could push the runners off. Good job.
If I am making a fence for aesthetics, I am going to have the "nice" side for us to look at. I couldn't care less what others see when they are driving by. Looks great to me!
John Stricker a normal person would have done that but the boss wanted it that way.
18:40 user error 😂
Now, after a year or so, how are the deck boards doing as far as getting warped? With that much space between posts, I'm betting the boards have warped enough that you are having to replace some, or had to add a vertical support in between your posts to keep everything straight. If not, you are very luck, so far.
You couldn’t be more wrong. I’ve been doing horse fences for 15 years and just showed this video to a client to explain the process and stumbled across your comment. This is pressure treated 5/4”decking, and there is no warpage even on jobs I did 15 years ago. And our posts are always 95” on center.
Nooooooo. Don't paint it!!! You are just creating a lifetime of work as the paint flakes off and has to be redone over and over and over. Just let it weather naturally and blend in to the landscape.
If u sand and prime it u shouldnt have to deal with chipping paint. Paint also provides an extra layer of protection against the weather
@@Cat_KH1 who in the hell is going to sand and prime a damn fence ????
Your wife seems like she runs the show and wears the pants .
If you have a farm...you know that it requires at least two people to get things done. We make a great team!
Nice job but dogs can dig underneath in no time
Great video.
