I have found these videos incredibly helpful in the creation of my Master's Thesis. However, I would like to comment that a common issue I've had is that there haven't really been any tips for people that find themselves in the rare scenario I find myself in, where there is no prior research on the subject, and thusly have to come up with almost everything myself, as there are no examples of previously made works on my subject.

My professor threw this master thesis level project at us... she isn't really helpful at all. I have had no idea what a statistical analysis is at all, and yet she expects us to already have this knowledge. Thank you for helping me get through this.
1) raw data cannot answer your research questions 2) quantititative - what calculations and statistical tests to use for analysis? 3) quantitative - what approach to take for categorizing and interpreting data? Common approaches- quantitative 1) summarize statistics 2) test 1) descriptive - students test scores - mean (average score), standard deviation (variability ofnscores) 2) regression/ correlation - looks for associations b/w 2 or more variables 3) comparison - difference in outcomes of different tests Qualititative - information and ideas - interpret it - what is more suited adopt it. 1) thematic analysis- patterns in data -> theme 2) discourse - social context and structure - not only what is said and how it is said
