I really like the fact that Asmongold gives a chance to some viewers to justify themselves and not get banned right away and counterargument in a very polite and articulate way.

Can we have a day where Asmon just sit there and argue with people all day. It is pretty entertaining lolol

viewers defending embeds is such a ludicrous reality

  • @stryfer1989

The biggest argument against Fextralife is that, even if their website is useful to a good number of gamers, their Twitch streams are impossibly boring. Having a good website, does not make you a good streamer and it doesn't make it okay to take the top spot in a category away from really good streamers. There are other ways to monetize a highly visited website if that's the goal, without rigging numbers to make it seem like you're good at something you're not.

  • @TigerKirby215

The part at the end where Asmond destroys the "if you want views on Twitch get a boob job and sit in a hot tub" argument lol 😂

  • @bananagher7555

I love when people try to hit him with dumb "gotcha" moments and then they give the dumbest arguments.

  • @JimAdventures

Can't wait to see "Fextralife's response." Could be funny.

  • @ChrisOnTheCoast

now it makes more sense why fextralife always had their cams off with 10k+ viewers.. because they knew they werent streaming to anyone

  • @Riomasa

People who question the impact on embedding have no idea how popular wikis are. Fextralife has been the defacto wiki for these modern RPG/Singleplayer titles for the past what two years almost? Every single person that accessed the site using the wiki for basic info or a guide counts as a view (or if you have it pulled up while gaming, viewing) Even my dad used their wiki for BG3 religiously. He’s probably contributed 100 hours worth of view time without even knowing it.

As a bot, I'm offended that people would selfishly use us for personal gain.

"I would think the same way that you did if I didn't think."

Lets be real, the fact they work on a list of sites to blacklist is telling it is either a bandaid or its the most they can do. And it always tickled me that they didnt straight up removed embedding or remove it from viewer count at least. But this week i found out that a lot of asian orgs etc actually have their own website and that is where their audience actually go. So they have a custom player or a twitch one, and i guess this is why.

  • @rosenmitrovich7034

This shouldn't be hard for twitch to fix. Unless their code is total crap show, the embedding should be happening through an API. If it no more than few hours to add a separate counter for the use of the API and this having the embedding number. Then separate the two andake the order based on real viewers.

  • @marc23009

First rule of twitch.. NEVER pick the first stream... lmao.

  • @freeze_peach

The mental gymnastics that that one chatter had to go through to try and "win" an argument.

  • @EngineeringAndRestoration

Screen analogy is actually different in print.

  • @peterpaul7932

well spoken sir, happy to hear it worked out for you and the twitch platform in a fair way. no space for parasites.

  • @daosdresari7349

    There goes my career.

  • @atwitchyferret

I think embedded views should only count if the person on the website clicks a "view stream" button to start up the stream.
