They are the Rolling Stones man. They aren't those who became old and started to say shits and etc, like aerosmith or any others. They are the rollling stones, people always foget that they competed with the beatles, it's not an easy task. The best new is that they perceived their importance and the taste of the public. Now, if their legacy was already big, today is even bigger. Keith said in an interview there still so many recorded musics wich is going to be placed in another album, not Hackney Diamonds. You know, we are privilidged.
This song is not enough with 7:23 minutes duration, I can't get enough of listening to this work of art,This song is the best and for me it should have been the lead single on the album.
Angry is great this is SUPERB holy smokes Steve 🥁 knocks to outta the park! MICK🌞❤🌝 GAGA and Stevie lifts the entire band up to HEAVENLY crescendo. 🎸🎹🎸
Your analysis and response are identical to mine. Have only listened to the 7:20 track...an instant ANTHEM. That the Stones are capable of delivering such a high-quality non-formulaic tune at this stage of the game makes such an enormous statement. Read the reactions of others on this epic- it is bringing people to TEARS! I am like a kid in a candy store, a kid at Christmas, etc. I think people are experiencing a positive sense of dumbfoundedness in that they are receiving quality music from a classic band just like when we were teenagers anticipating the release of an album. BUT we are in a state of joyful disbelief in experiencing it again in 2023, having subconsciously assumed that we would never have that feeling again. The integration of Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder surpasses already high expectations and as you stated, the horns that come in around 4:30 propel the tune the rest of the way. Simply WOW! Back to Angry- same feelings here- a good tune (it does get the body moving through Keith's rumbling bass) that could be even better. I am not a music producer, but if Andrew Watt could get them back in the studio, adjust the refrain, extend the piano and bass at around 2:00, and extend the outro chorus even longer (because it's such a great singalong) instead of cutting it off so quickly, Angry could evolve into a 6:00 solid rocker. I dig your guys' work. Looking forward to the analysis of the entire album.
I listened to the song 1 time long version and in 1 word it is Perfection. I agree with what you said about Angry it was good not Great. Great video Guys!!!
For me so far, the Stones are 2 for 2, this has the making of being a classic Stones release we haven't seen since Tattoo You. Mick & the boys are bringing it.
I wish my brother Charlie were here now. I'd love to know what he thought of this song. He died of cancer in March of 2019; and in the fall of 2018, shortly before he found out he was dying, he received a phone call from Keith Richards. During the 90s up to the early 2000s, he used to spend the night together with Keith at his house; whereupon they would jam out on their guitars on every old blues tune they could remember. They sort of drifted apart after that, until he received that phone call from him in late 2018. I'd love to know what brother Charlie thought of this song. He was once at Keith Richards' house when a transatlantic phone call came in from Mick; whereupon Keith and Mick proceeded to get into a very ANGRY long distance argument. Oh, Lord, I remember when we were kids, and listening to The Stones' "12x5" album, including the song-"If You Need Me, Why Don't You Call Me". That's a true story, folks; and there's more to it, if you'd care to hear it!
@@ginosolla8468 You only have my word on it, but I am telling a true story. I don't know if I would call it wonderful, but there is definitely something supernatural about it. Some of it is disconcerting. A lot of it concerns a phenomena known as synchronicity. I don't know what compelled 'Sting' to entitle an album by it, but there's definitely something to it: Coincidences that are not coincidences, but our signs from above. Why me, Lord; I don't know!
Love the long version so this is a beautiful and powerful, climatic Stones song, and to me Harkins a bit back to Black and Blue, Mick's voice is fantastic
For me, the long version is the winner. I only found out that there was a short version shortly after I heard the longer one. When I did see the post of the shorter one, I decided to see if I could guess what was edited out of the longer one. Sure enough, it was the part that I thought it would be. I won’t go further than that, in case anyone else decides to do the same as I did.
This is definitely better than 'Angry'. It seems like The Stones are going back to the early seventies. I'm not sure about Jagger's voice these days, though.
Very exile on main street vibe with beautiful gospel and blues vibes added also ..... chanelling Otis Redding and that other Stones tune: I got the blues. Lots to take in here.
Comparison to Shine a light and You can't always get what you want is ok but don't forget the wibe from "I got the blues". It's rather obvious that this song has a great deal of wibes from the Sticky Fingers song. A really great song that shows the Stones still got it!
Youre right. Start Me Up fell kinda flat when it first came out. I look foward to hearing Angry live and I haven't said that since 1981. I've been fan since I was 8 in 1978. This has. been a long time waiting for a great Stones album. Lol.
I like Micks voice better when recorded on tape. It sounds good on both but the digital recorders sound compressed. The best recordings are warm analog recordings transferred to digital tracks which gives it edge. Then you have the warmth and edge. I know this because I've done it many times. It's not his singing his singing is great. The vocals jus lost heir but compared to his past recordings due to the style of recording. Glad to hear the band record again
Great reaction guys. I agree about hearing the album in its entirely and perhaps liking Angry more. I can say for me, I wholeheartedly believe in listening to Stones albums as a whole and I fully believe they're designed that way with a lot of thought and care, just the way the Stones do everything surrounding their music. I really had that experience with Voodoo Lounge. There are some tracks that on their own, I know I wouldn't have loved hearing outside of the context of the album, however, in listening to the whole album, there isn't a skip-over in the bunch, and I always love hearing them all together. I also do have one unpopular view on this current song. I love it. I cried. However, I really believe, for me at least, it would have been better without Gaga. I don't like my Stones tainted. They're never lacking, so they need no addition, and I would have loved to hear them just take this particular song and run wild with it themselves. I mean, especially considering those amazing signature Mick vocals at their finest. No question in my mind, it would have been at the least equally as good, and IMO, better. Thanks, guys. Stones forever. And btw, Mick did turn 80 last month or a few months ago! We ARE so blessed to have them and their entire catalog and all they give to their fans. I love how they rolled this album out too. And I am looking forward to a tour announcement!!
I feel on both these first two singles the songs sound like JAGGER SOLO tunes. The production and everything…The guitars hang in there but are just fills , very Gospel oriented …you mentioned SHINE A LIGHT but it does not have the grit of that era. Lady Gaga , dominates the track , it grabs the attention after she enters…she is center stage. I disagree the production and sound is NOT like the ‘70’s but maybe it can’t be in modern soundscapes…I give it a B+ …that’s my opinion.
More sheen? Have you listened to a record since Steel Wheels? I don't blame you since they've sucked since Undercover But Andrew Watt is a fucking hero. First time ive been excited about a Stones album since 1981. And it's all Andrew Watt. Hopefully we'll never hear of Don Was again. Those records are all slick, mediocre and too long. The 2nd most important Watt besides Charlie. This album is gonna be great. Finally got the old Jagger voice back.
I wouldn't say he sounds like his 20s here, but his voice hasn't aged much since the Steel Wheels era, he was 46 then. He still sounds this good live too.
Epic gospel tinged Stones ballad. Kudos to Lady Gaga & Stevie who contributed to this masterpiece. A+
I can’t believe how good Mick’s vocal sounds on this one.
That's because is AI.
@@secretmessagesaroundthewor504that is not slightly true
It's a fantastic song. How good is it that the Stones are still rolling!
I think - and I don't say this lightly - this is as good as almost anything else in their catalog. It's an absolute classic.
They are the Rolling Stones man. They aren't those who became old and started to say shits and etc, like aerosmith or any others. I wouldn't go that far but its because we have only had shit since 1984.
Stevie and Gaga elevated the song 🎵 it’s a perfect collaboration
This song is not enough with 7:23 minutes duration, I can't get enough of listening to this work of art,This song is the best and for me it should have been the lead single on the album.
Omg! Love it! Old bluesy stones phenomenal! Mick sounds incredible
This is classic Stones all the way. I'm more excited for the new album now.

Haven't heard anything that good in years! Amazing voices and an amazing song!
This will hold up long after the Stones, time is on their side.
I like Angry.
It felt immediately like a hug from a dear friend.
A hug I missed.

Classic Stones sound. Could fit in an early 70's album. Wow!
This is the Stones on top of their game. Perfection!!!

It's ok, but not a classic
It's definitely a classic.
I really like Sweet Sounds Of Heaven and Angry. I'm so looking forward to this new album.

Sounds like a remake of something they did on Exile
Very exile on main street vibe with beautiful gospel and blues vibes added also ..... chanelling Otis Redding and that other Stones tune: I got the blues. Lots to take in here.

I agree about the playing.Nobody was going through the motions here.
Well said. The Stones are firing on all cylinders here for sure!
This makes me really look forward to the album!
Love the song. you guys are spot on. Can't wait to hear the whole album
Steve Jordan nails this one perrrrrrrrfectly!! I'm sure Charlie is smiling up there ❤️
What a tune! Bring on the album....
Sooner rather than later...
I would give this song an 8.5 out of 10
If this new Rolling Stones song is that good, I'll wait three weeks to hear it. I'd rather not spoil it, for my first listen of the new album. 😊
Truly great song!
Instant thoughts were Indian girl and fool to cry, beautiful.
I believe the song is about Lucifer's fall. Both Mick and Gaga are known to be Lucifarian.
I do agree with you guys. This work is a hit. Angry is nice, but I also like this song much more.
I agree about the over production on 'Angry'. This track here (Sweetsounds...) wouldn't be out of place on a Van Morrison album.

Love this song
The extended version. 2 more minutes of awesome.
It's only Rock and Roll but I lije it.

ALOT better than Angry, Angry is just okay ( Angry to me sounds like a Mick Jagger solo song ) but Sweet Sounds of Heaven is Total Classic Stones 👍
Lady Gaga was in a studio next door and kind of wandered into the project. How cool is that?

Mick y Gaga 😍
I think both Mick and Keith wrote this. The guitars and structure is Keith, When they collaborate the songs are always much better.
Épico ❤❤❤
Love it
I mean I liked stuff like this during prime Let it Bleed ,Exiles. The Stones fans for the most part won't dig it.
I like it a lot, but all I hear is " Seeing things " by The Black Crows
Long version. For sure!
Short version has more GaGa on it. Made for a younger audience.
Good insight. Thanks for watching!

Goo track but a tad bit too long
Not as good as "Angry".
Mick jagger voice is AI... no one at eighty sound like they are in their 20s
I wouldn't say he sounds like his 20s here, but his voice hasn't aged much since the Steel Wheels era, he was 46 then. He still sounds this good live too.
Needs more cowbell, less gaga.
I actually love Gaga on this track
Lady Gaga was such a delight to this record. God, that woman is soulful!
Gaga has more than proven her chops. She is great on this song.
Generic blues
