I’m a nail tech and I have used a coffee filter to fix a broken nail when I had a client who didn’t want acrylic or gel on her nail and I didn’t have any silk. You just cut the coffee filter a little bigger than the break in the nail put it on the crack with a drop of glue on top. File the nail and buff the top after the glue has dried then put a clear polish on it and voila, your nail is repaired. You can also use a tea bag which really works better but at the time I had no tea bag at the shop.
I used a filter at a lake when someone stepped on a bee. I took ice out of the ice chest, put it on the filter then but a rubber band around it to keep it close. There you go an ice pack.
Great ideas for coffee filters! One year I used them with my 3yr old class to make butterflies. We folded them in half, painted one half with water colors, unfolded them. We had symmetry. Let dry, then added a clothespin, pushing down the middle for the body which in turn made wings. Added pipe cleaners for antennas. Added a magnet to the back. Cute spring project to add to their Mother's day gift bag. Also went with our entomologist theme. I'm happy for you that you have a new inside space! Congrats! 😊❤️
Our artist guild uses coffee filters for glittering our stuff. Unlike plastic trays they sell there is no static cling. Sprinkler glitter over the item catching the micro glitter in the coffee filter. Then pour from the filter back into your container/bag. We use tiny spoons like the small ice cream plastic ones you might get for free. Save these for sprinkling glitter in very small amounts in your craft kit. Also use thin coat of Royal Coat glue instead of other types, let glitter dry then do second coat of glue and repeat to get great finish. Doesn't have as much glitter fall off but you can use hair spray as a sealer. Never blow on your glitter to remove excess. Hubby did that once and glittered his face hehe. Micro glitter is plastic so it has a lot of static cling. We use playing cards for mixing Epoxy because they have a nice wax finish and are the perfect size. You can sometimes get free used ones from local casinos. This message has been brought to you by the Egg Artists Guild of Washington.
I use coffee filters in my craft room when I make my junk journals. I will dye them with coffee or tea or other Eco dies and then they will be a page within my journal. Or I will make special embellishments or decorations with them for the journals
This is a great idea for cleaning my windshield! I have smears on the inside of my windshield from using my hand to wipe it. They’re visible when the glass fogs up. The windshield is at a sharp angle, making it hard to use a cleaning product without dripping all over the dash. Thank you for this helpful suggestion!!!!! Now I need to buy coffee filters!
No one in my house, even drinks, coffee and I have coffee filters. I’ve use them in my outdoor pots for years. And I’ve also use them to cover items for the microwave for many years. But I like to pour the popped microwave popcorn into a coffee filter because it absorbs all the oils from the microwave popcorn. Which I know is terrible for you, but sometimes it’s just worth the convenience. Congratulations on the new space!!
I use them for drying seeds off I've saved from things like squash, tomatoes or cucumbers. They work better than any other paper product. I write the seed variety on the filter for each filter laying them flat on a plate or cookie sheet to spread the seeds on. It's very important these seeds are clean and dry before packaging up for storing.
We use the filters when we go to a movie to dish out popcorn for everyone. They make great little bowls. You can do the same with coffee, as you do with tea, if you have a one cup machine. I used to do this all the time. Put my coffee in the filter and cut down to size. So much cheaper than boughton one cup bags.
I love these ideas! I think using them to clean your glasses would scratch them. I’ve made that mistake just using tissue. However, I LOVE the tea bag idea! Thank you for your video!! 😊
Love all these ideas for using coffee filters! I kept looking behind you and thinking.....something is different! Lol. Looks great and I'm so happy you have a space that works for you! Thanks Norrine! 😍
In the craft room, I use coffee filters with my embossing powders. I put the filter in a plastic storage container, then hold my inked paper over the filter and pour or spoon the powder on the paper. The filter catches the excess and it’s easy to get it back in the jar! I can write on the filter what color powder it’s for so I don’t contaminate my powders ☺️
THANK YOU for your ingenious idea of using a coffee filter to catch the embossing powder! I happen to have an alergie to the stuff. Meaning at times the powder has gotten in my eyes. One time it was so bad I had to go to the ER. So thank you again!
One thing I never do is using the filters on my eyeglasses. I did that at one time and eventually discovered how the filter was causing "miniscule" scratches on the lenses of my glasses. The scratches more or less "added up" overtime and became quite noticeable. Love your channel bunches.
I dump the used coffee in my plants then rince or dry the filter to use in my junk Journals. Great suggestions for using the filters. Huge hugs, Namesta 🐞🥰
This was meant to be! You just popped up on my UA-cam screen… I’m pretty organized, I’d better be at my age or probably never would be! Lol but haven’t used coffee filter for much except filtering out coffee grounds that seem to find its way out of the pods. Many great ideas, will try several of them. Thanks
Congratulations on your inside space! Looking forward to see the whole room and finding out if it is a dual purpose room. When I finally had an art room my life changed so much! The drawback is that since I had sooo much more room I spent a bundle on supplies. It's definitely my happy place. Thanks for all your tips❤
I love❤your tips… you are glowing, did something else happen to you, like you got married !!! If so congratulations , I am so happy or you . Sending many blessings to you . God bless Rose
OMG! So many great ideas to try! Never would have thought to use them as seedling pots. Because so many people use those K cups now, I see coffee filters occasionally in my thrift stores. And I will check out the dollar stores, too. Thanks so much! And congratulations on inside space!
Your tips with coffee-filters are fantastic !!! But do not use them on glass - because they are made of wood and therefor are scratchy. Actually I use them to filter the water after painting with acrylics in order to be more environment-friendly and to avoid clogging the pipes of the house. 🙂
Hello Norrine, great vid, I was wondering what was different but couldn't put my finger on it. Congrats on getting new space! Can't wait to see you again! Take care 🤗
We make butterflies out of them. Water colors work great or a spray bottle with food coloring, even chalk, then wet with spray bottle. Open flat paint color with choice of colors, scrunch center together and put a clothes pen, draw faces add a piece of pipe cleaner for the antlers. You can add a magnet and hang them on a board or fridge or string to hang from celing. I have used a few of the ideas, pan liners, between pans, catch ice cream drips,
Your space is always so neat. Shelving units are expensive, so I am going to put together some cardboard units for my 2 craft rooms- one where I keep supplies and the other where I make and store my crafts for sale. Checking UA-cam for ideas. I've been watching some of your organizing videos. Some of the Dollar Tree items would work great in my craft room, but I don't drive. Anybody a viewer from Tulsa, OK, maybe we could go together.
Whattt??!?? Where'd you go? How exciting!! ...an inside space?? That's wonderful, Mini!! Can't wait to see your new space develop. Travis is in Indiana even as we speak, scoping out the area, deliberately going now when it's hot (86 degrees today with a 50% chance of rain, humid and sticky) then were going back in January or February when it's really cold in attempts to see our potential new home in its worst possible time weather-wise. Ugh! Just the THOUGHT of moving across the country...!!! Love you sweetheart, your in my heart often, hugs, my friend, MK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
We don't drink coffee and I don't drink tea, so we don't have filters. That said, I do like the idea with the seeds, I think they would be worth buying just for that. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to seeing your new room. Hoping your dad is continuing to improve 😊
Just wondering where you've been and hope you're doing okay. I love your videos, sweet voice, positive words and gentle nature and miss seeing your new videos. You feel like a friend and I've wondered if you were okay.
Awesome ideas for those coffee filters. Thanks for the information. Congrats on your new crafting space. I look forward to watching the changes in the coming videos.
I think - THINK - there is a specific kind of food- grade staple that you should use when making your tea or coffee bags. Please correct me if I'm wrong, though. Your ideas are wonderful. A couple or three I already utilize, but, MOST of your ideas I never thought about doing. The muffin cup is one of those I didn't ever think of. TYSM for sharing this video with us.

@@TheCraftyOrganizer LOL, thanks for letting me know. No worries - I think I may have found a similar wreath. I bookmarked a lot of video searches and found tons of coffee filter flowers to make. Everything from peonies to sunflowers and my favorite - roses. How to color them and even how to tea stain and decoupage. I'm really excited to try these. Many thanks for bringing these projects to light. Once my new craft room is situated, I'm going to give this a try. Your videos always give me things to think about and projects to do.
Wonderful ideas! I use coffee filters when I emboss or use glitter. I love that it keeps most of it contained. We all know that if you are a crafter that uses glitter you can never keep it all contained. Co workers have found me all glittery if I happen to go into my craft room before work. 😆

I drill some holes in them and then I put the coffee filters over the holes so the soil don't come out of the holes and then after I put my vegetables in I put some coffee filters on top of the soil and around the vegetables to help keep the bugs out of the soil and I put a couple of small stones on top of them so they don't fly out of the pots!!!
Great info, thanks! However, I wouldn't use them to wipe eye glasses because lenses have special coatings which can be damaged by virtually all materials other than special lens wiping fabric.

Thanks! I picked up some new ideas! We stick a popsicle stick through a coffee filter so the kids have a drip catcher!
That's a perfect summertime tip!!!

A room!!! Does this mean you moved? Yay you:). Enjoy the new space.
No. Just my office/recording space. :)
Love all of these tips. I remember when the cars had the lines on the rear window for defrosting it. We used coffee filters to clean it.

Congratulations on your new place!!! Coffee filters work great on mirrors, no lint or streaks...❤
Dollar Tree has coffee filters for $1.25.
Oh these are some of my favorite things to use for little things everywhere in the house.
I sent this to my gardener daughter, the coffee filters seed starter is genius!

Very cool idea, but I'm not sure I want that many zucchinis the way the have grown this year. They are taking over, lol.
Use the filter to polish crystal wine glasses.

Game changer!! Thanks for the tip.

Use the coffee filters with vinegar to clean windows without leaving lint behind.

That's what I'm thinking. I love them for windows and mirrors, but wouldn't use them on my eyeglasses. Any paper will leave micro-scratches.
Congrats on a ROOM!!! I hope to graduate to one of my daughter ever finishes college and flies the coop.😊

I use coffee filters as plates when I feed foxes outside my house. I bin the “plates” in the morning.
My adult son uses them for his kids tacos as a mini drip shield. No big deal but that flower you called a dandelion is actually a daffodil.
