Hey, I like these types of tutorials, but all videos are the same ... kind of. A little bit of lighting, product .. beem - easy. Why no one talk about camera settings? White-balance settings, which type of profile they use, focusing, which type of lenses and why. I never seen this type of tutorial in any kind of video. But thanks anyway, you at least show something different :)) btw. if you download "canon camera connect" (something like that) into your phone, you can use it as a remote controller for taking photos. I use it when I have to hold something in the scene. Hope it helps.
@@jakubsvec7716 that’s a really good point! I think with this, it’s to keep it simple, getting into camera settings and such complicates it a little more. But you make good points. I can make another one that goes over those points as well :)
since it's summer, I did this outdoors. I did everything the same, minus the lamp. Gotta say--Im really happy with how they look. Definitely the best product pics I've ever taken. the foam board was 97 cents and the poster board was 44 cents. That's all I spent.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I subbed because of the product photography tutorials, and this editing video was also very helpful. I use (am still learning) Affinity Designer 2 & Affinity Photo 2, but there are enough similarities between those and Photoshop that I can still find value in what you’re teaching.
@@willsimpsonphoto yes , Big hair claws , Scrunchies , head bands (the hard ones) and small hair clips. All the photos i take look horrible an they make them look horrendous.
What is the best way to make the edges on the item not jagged after cleaning it up? The eraser tool seems to leave jagged lines and having something similar to the pen or curve tool would be so helpful for edges.
How many soft light box would you suggest for a food product photography ? Also can we replace the soft box light with an LED light which is so much in hype now a days. I'm so confused, kindly guide me.
I dont do much food photography but you can definitely use LED or softbox. Its all about just arranging the light to get the right effect. Any light will work. If theres too much, back the light up, too little, move the light closer. want less shadows, add light on the shadow side, want more, reduce light. Its all about tweaking.
Oh yeah! You can totally use it. There’s so many ways to select things in photoshop. I just found I tend to use the one I use the most. Lol. The pen tool is probably easier 😅 I just don’t use it that often so I forget about it.
Better to learn to get it right in the camera instead of depending on photoshop, it makes you so much more efficient and profitable as a photographer long term when you know how to do it correctly instead of like this.
What else would you like to see?

Great video! Thank you!
you're welcome!
Going over the small details was extremely helpful thanks!
For sure! I found a lot of youtube videos miss those points and those are what really make things work.
Thank you soooo much for these simple hacks! I'm new to reselling and struggling with pics. I appreciate this.❤
That’s awesome! Glad it helped :)

Thank you very much for the tutorial. Going over everything step by step is very helpful. I’m a new sub. 😊

That’s awesome! I’ve never used Affinity so that’s good to hear
@@willsimpsonphoto Affinity is awesome, and I like that it’s not subscription based. It’s also not expensive to purchase.
Great and very helpful video - more like this please (and I wouldn't mind in-depth long editing videos) 🙌
Sounds good!
Your video is so good! Easy to understand and follow along. Loved it❤
Thats awesome! great to have ya :)
Thats the content I wanted ✌️🙌💯
Wooot! Let’s go!

Hi Will All your explainations are so simple to implement. Thanks again. Keep making more such elaborate videos on adobe product.
Will do! Thanks for the comment :)
Thank you, this really helped me A LOT!
That’s great!
Where should i position my light i made a box with reflective white, should i put it on the top or on both sides?

Hey Can you make photoshop video for jewelry editing and a video for jewelry shooting.
@@juliazheng2316 I don’t do much jewelry tbh
Would love the full course
Thats great to know! Thanks!
Can you do a full course on editing product photography on photoshop
Just editing or start to finish?
Great video, it is so helpful, can you do some recommendations for shooting hair accessories ?, I feel a little lost in that area .
any specific ones? Not too familiar with them lol.

depends on how close you're zooming in. I use the pen tool or polygon tool. Also depends on the "straightness" of the item.

Why do you not use the pen tool?
you could do that as well. There are so many different tools that can be used in photoshop.
What camera lens did you have on please?
I believe im using a EF 24-70 2.8. It's linked in description.

I have my own clothing brand and the one thing I struggle with is product photography and editing.. please do a full course on editing.
Sounds good! I’ll start planning and working on it.

lol funny enough I rarely use the pen tool. Not sure why.
Would you not just rather use the pen tool to etch out the product? :)

Dude how can we take out a great picture of Tshirts?
Same method, maybe slightly large scale, hang the shirt and use fishing line to hold tight or a full shirt mold. Should work
