We, ALL of us have to take responsibility for our lives period! Never should this man came in at 300 pounds as a qb, coaches ain't do that smh
Preach.
For real, this man had his hand held his whole life and once he got his bag and had to be responsible for himself he couldn’t do it. Doesn’t deserve the hate he gets, but also doesn’t deserve much respect either.
what’s the definition of a coach?
@@BossDini what is it you're getting at
Jamarcus is just a plain loser, had all the talent in the world, but no desire, work ethic, discipline, dedication, heart. Just stole the Raiders money and now is blaming them for him not succeeding. The raiders and coaches wanted nothing more than for him to succeed, because there jobs are on the line and they paid him alot of money. He deserves all the criticism he he got and more. He is a literal thief. Its alright to be a bust, but not to be a bust without giving effort.
I really hope he took some accountability at some point during this sit down
He didn't
He did
Watch it maybe?
No, the ghetto commandments say its always someone else's fault, never your own.
The worst part is all the guys are just enabling him even more, just agreeing with him because he is sitting in front of them.
Brady brought the Buccaneers from shit to sugar
But tom also had good pieces around him like Mike Evans Rob gronkowski and decent defense
He trying to make himself feel good about his time in the league. But he know once you make it to the league it's a totally different world...it's all business. And if you ain't got your sh-t together then you plain talent isn't going to be enough.
He needs to take personal responsibility. He didn't take it serious as he should have... His mistake
You gotta watch the whole video, to understand. With everything happening in his life that he talked about and trying to play football, he needed guidance. And he needed help he just didn’t know how to ask for it.
“Blitz packages” lol
they started bullshittin when they sent him home with a blank tape and he came back trying to explain what he saw on it!
Facts
If I had a beef with “New media” it’d be with the lack of confrontation and not challenging the guest(s) in general. He made some good points, but he also didn’t take responsibility for a lot of his actions. You guys didn’t show up to camp over weight, you guys watched tape, you guys put the work in to earn the money y’all made and the success you achieved. Why allow him to act like the coaching/organization was all to blame? He’s def not a bust in life, football is a game, but he isn’t someone I’d look to as an example of how to behave professionally, either.

Did you have the opportunity to watch the interview in it's entirety? Ryan Clark specifically asked about Jamarcus' own accountability, responsibility, and culpability. The question starts at 30:48 in the video link above. Give it a watch.
Seems to me RC could clearly hear JaMarcus was talking about all the outside factors and not speaking to his own faults so he asked the question.
Bro was sipping lean gaining weight not working out nor taking the game seriously lol
Damn man none of y’all are calling out the fact that the they took care him with his crazy contract!! He could have said hey I need some help, so workout a more team friendly contract. Sure you loose upfront, but success always bring more money down the line. Like bro they took care of you so much, they gave your sorry ass 34 million for nothing in return. Start there before you utter words “care” and “me”.
I don't know. Sounds like he is justifying not working hard. They did that video switch not to mess with you but to prove he was doing prep work. And the QB HAS to be the first one in and last one out. Sounds like LSU did him an injustice and not prepare him for the next level.
This man gotta stop lying to himself coaching had nothing to do with him showing up to training camp at 300 pounds as a starting quarterback he didn’t respect the game or take his craft serious
And you did?
Still doesn't take accountability for his action. What a shock.
The coaches gave gave him a dvd of plays to watch and tell them which ones he liked. He came back the next day and told the coaches he liked them all, Only thing is the dvd was blank. That’s why you failed
Bro they gave u a million chances lmao. The Victim Complex is insane here
Gave Randy up for a 4th Round Pick.
Obviously the stories of him never attending a class at LSU were true. Not only did he never watch film be he never cracked a book. He can't form a complete sentence and every other word is Bro.....
Shannon talking about he would have had multiple Super Bowls if he was drafted by the patriots with 6-7 years I his career (2005-2011). STOP COPING, the Pats didn't win a Super Bowl after the 2004 season UNTIL 2014 - the lost two Super Bowls, but he would have had multiple Super Bowls. Just be happy with how you worked in the league, don't be complicit with the projection of accountability seen in Jemarcus Russell. SMH
Shannon?
All this because of avoiding studying film for friggin cheeseburgers
A lot of people are still from outside looking in saying he didn't take responsibility for his own actions how could you if he is explaining firist hand in the interview why things didn't work out im really not getting the part of people not getting that he's telling you why he didn't do his side of the deal because he wasn't welcome from the start when he left college he weighed 280 an its still a lot of stuff making it look like some BS lol i was there first hand.......lol
He didn’t study and he was overweight. He still doesn’t take responsibility for his failure. If a coach’s job is on the line, why would a coach support a lazy player who doesn’t know the playbook. Not surprised he stole money from the a donation given to the high school he worked at.
Take responsibility bro. Now you stole 74;000 dollars. Coaches fault?
That could actually be the case, he didn't get the support from upper management to be successful.
Support comes in the form of money for professionals. He never grew up is all it is. He wanted to be treated like a kid not a man.
@@dustinbailey9644 That could also be the case as well. However, upper management is in charge of drafting and trading.
@@curiouslymavismade he was on garbage teams yes. But that doesn’t make u come in 60lbs heavy and filling them cups up. Addiction ruins work ethic and he never really mentioned that as being a factor.
@@curiouslymavismade the man has done great things since, I was an idiot in my early 20’s as well, he shouldn’t be judged by it. He runs football camps now and takes care of the kids with equipment and cleats etc.
Easy to see why this guy wasn't successful.
I find Jamarcus unlikeable for many reasons, arguably the biggest though is how much he tries to play the victim. It's always somebody else's fault he failed, he takes legitimately zero accountability for anything that happened in his career. Explains why he was such a colossal failure in the NFL.
Yall corny with that ""He needs to take responsibility crap." You try and excell when all the cards are stacked against you. When a coaching staff is against you, you not going to win. They were setting him up for failure. You expecting a young kid out of college to know how to maneuver a corrupt situation. All this "I would of done this" mess. Hindsight is 20/20.
As a raider fan that’s bs. We just sucked and he didn’t help our cause. The reason Carr works because he has great talent within himself and has proved that through our mediocrity he has carried his own and is a God send for us. It didn’t work and we moved on so should he
They took him number one in the draft and signed him to a 61 million, 39 million guaranteed contract if that doesn't say we believe in you then that's on him.
The Raiders gave this man a 60 million dollar contract as a rookie!! Seems like they believed in his abilities and skills if they paid him that record breaking contract. I dont want to hear any excuses lol
Why would the coaching staff be against him, their jobs are on the line. He is 100% responsible for his failure, and stole that money, didnt give one ounce of effort.
This guy still doesn’t get it and sadly I don’t think he ever will
Blames everyone but himself. His lack of work ethic and all out laziness is what got him booted out of the league. Basically stole millions from the Raiders.
100%, worthless guy. Its one thing to be a total failure, lazy bum, but now to blame everyone else, makes it even worse.
He literally blamed himself for everything but the way they wanted him to learn plays… pat mahomes didnt watch no plays his first year he looked at papers and plays written down by andy reid. Who watches a disc of plays lets be real ☠️
@@Yomamabelackin nobody was a bigger bum than Jamarcus. He didnt take any responsibility. Even here you are defending him, ridiculous.
@@gsp3428 he watched film in college and did everything he was asked by his coach… maybe he was just fucking eager to play ball instead of watch a shitty 5 hr film? Maybe the coach shouldve tooken a “hey qb1 whats the best way you could be taught into our playbook? What as a team can we do can we draw them out, maybe have a sit down and explain them better?” Like as a coaching staff thats just dumb on their part
@@Yomamabelackin The man was 7-18 as a starter, threw 18 tds and 23 interceptions, didnt study the playbook, didnt watch tape, and showed up to camp every year overweight and out of shape. He got paid more than 30 million guaranteed and the only reason he was given three years was because of where he was drafted and got paid. He was literally the only reason he didnt succeed. In life we have one person we can control, ourselves, how hard we work, how dedicated we are, how much drive we have, how much discipline we have. Jamarcus possessed physical talent but nothing else once he got paid, he was done. He obviously didnt have the desire or drive to succeed at the highest level, maybe didnt love the game, but he loved the money he got. He is 100% responsible for his own NFL failure. Coaches dont want him to fail, because they lose their jobs also when the team sucks. Also watching tape comes with the job of being an NFL QB, whether you like it or not, maybe he doesnt want to watch 5hours, how bout just 1 hour, which literally even third stringers almost certainly do. And also the coaches arent their to baby him, this is a job, a profession which we do things that maybe we dont enjoy, thats how you build a successful team, if every player said I dont want to watch film, because its not fun, team probably gonna suck. Jamarcus was his own worst enemy, his ego, his selfishness and laziness destroyed his career, as it does for other like Johnny Manziel. Just own it.
Brady was going to Superbowls with some of the worst set of skill position players ever early in his career.
Troy Brown, Deion Branch, David Patten, David Givens Daniel Graham, Christian Fauria, Corey Dillon, Kevin Faulk...that's way better than what Russell had...
has yet to grow up.
Overweight, lazy, terrible mechanics, immature and addicted to codeine. He did himself in, not the coaches.
Peyton Manning came in on a shitty team as well but he worked his ass off. Brady prepared like his life depended on it even if he was drafted late. Blasphemous he compares his situation to theirs.
They didn’t play right away either that plays a big part in developing too. But if you watch the whole interview he explains more than what this clips shows.
But he is responsible for his demise in the league. He didn’t prepare accordingly
Hasn’t matured a damn bit
🗑 🗑 🗑. Excuse after excuse.
