I love the serrated edge idea! I never would have thought of that! Tea dying or coffee dying the paper is also a great idea! TFS.

Now I know what to use those 'blades' for from the aluminium foil boxes instead of throwing them in the recycle :)
Thank you so much for this.

I use tracing paper, but don't soak it in tea dye. I just usually distress around the edges. Good idea about the serrated edge too!

I’ve been thinking of trying to do bags with wax paper, couldn’t figure out out to cut the serrated edge. Thank you for solving my problem, the greatest thing about this community is everyone’s willingness to share. ❤️

Thank you for sharing 🌻 Take care & stay safe. I have made them from parchment paper, I used yellow ink rub on to make have a vintage look. I had forgotten that I seen it in a video when I first started about a year ago. Thank you! 🌻

The bags are so adorable! I'm surprised the glue adhered the sides of the parchment paper together. I've never had any luck with anything sticking to parchment paper. Usually after the glue dries it pulls apart. Not even heat embossing or acrylic paints will stick, it just crumbles off when it dries.

I haven't had any luck gluing parchment either. Is there a trick to this? I'd love to make my own bags!

I'm not sure why, but I had no trouble at all....maybe the tea bath weakened the wax? That's the only thing I can think of. It's been about a week since I made the first one and it's still stuck tight, yay!
