Love this idea SO much. The frosted envelopes lend an air of mystery to the enclosed ephemera. Now I know what to do with the lightweight ones, which I haven't been saving.
Some liners are heavier and less translucent. They make fantastic non stick craft sheets. Layer them between journal pages to protect from stray paint, use as gluing and paint mixing surfaces-- all free!
Your upcycling videos are so creative and inspiring. You seem to actually improve the materials so they become sought-after rather than discards. Awesome!

Thanx for sharing this video. Two weeks ago I stood with the cornflakes box liner and thought how can I use it. I thought of "glacine" bags, but was not too sure on how to do it. I will go and make use of that liner immediately. I can even make big enough envelopes for the cards I sell. You are a genius. I am always a looking for ways to recycle and upcycle. I love the idea of embossing them, too. Thanx again.

I was curious as to how I would use them to make cute journal bags... so... Thank you so much for your ideas!

Glassine is so hard to find, where I live, so I love your idea of using recycled Cereal Box liners! As I was watching your video, I fell in love with the little pocket that had a beautiful stamp with a butterfly on the front! I'm a stamp collector, and have wanted to find a better way of displaying my stamps. What better way than putting them on pockets like yours, and using them in a journal? I love your videos! Thanks for the inspiration! Stay safe!

These are absolutely NOT ridiculous, they are awesome! I love them. The last box of cereal I emptied, I pulled the bag out and was looking at it and thinking there had to be something you could use them for, I just knew I should put it aside for later, but my brain simply couldn't make sense of a cereal box liner as a crafty goodie, so in the trash it went. Now I know better and there's two more boxes in the cupboard shaking in their boots hahaha

Great idea! Good suggestions from viewers here. Would try folding the large sheet in half AND THEN sewing the little bags. Cut them out after they're sewn. May have to use some washi or painter's tape on the sewing machine for guidelines. Even with fabric, its easier to cut out pieces or shapes after sewing.
