Jeffrey Martin is a folk singer-songwriter who pens authentic, personal narratives. His warm acoustic guitar and gruff, paternal vocal style gives depth and personality to the characters embodied within these conversational tales.
Recorded on March 14, 2018 in Chicago, IL.

Definitely the most underrated artist
First date four years ago with my soon-to-be wife was with these two at the White Eagle in Portland. I think their beautiful music opened up a portal of love between us that I will be forever grateful for.
How's the marriage doing? :D
Oh my God. That must have been incredible seeing these two at the White Eagle.
I just have to say after listening and watching this duo, it may have saved my life. I’m not kidding.
Hope you’re doing good buddy.
I've been playing for 40 years now and will never understand how artists like this aren't at the forefront of the industry. I've known so many that are so much better than what is popular now.
Martin was the best LA teacher I have ever had you I wish you luck my friend
I literally didn’t know that this guy isn’t super famous until now!! What the heck how are they not more well known!!!
F me this is beautiful…anyone who thumbs this down must somehow be suffering greatly in their soul …
Dudes got me through some rough times. Cheers brother.
Me too
Have yet to see him play a set that didn't evoke all of the feels. He played a show in our shop to benefit the fire victims here in Sonoma County this past October. Solid human, hell of a storyteller.
This guy is a master storyteller
stumbled upon this performance specifically & it happened to be recorded on my birthday two years ago. some things are meant for you to find ♥️
Wow, so beautiful
Crazy good song writer and story teller. The violin accompaniment is superb.. if they are ever playing in NC, I would jump at the chance to catch their show.
He's coming to the Cats Cradle in Carrboro in a few months
I’m sitting here listening to this, thinking I might not have heard anything better at any point in my life. Seriously - tears welling up, completely enveloped, and just blown away. My lord.
Beautiful, from the heart.
A singer-songwriter of the highest class. What a treasure. Bravo!
Superb! Things like this make the struggle worth surviving. Thank you both. This was remarkable!!!
Absolutely amazing
Thank you so much for having him in the studio! I fell in love with his music and would have never discovered him if I didn't see him here.
Amazing, amazing artist. Literally just found him. Reminds me of early Noah Gunderson with an older soul behind the mic. If he ever visits Nottingham, I'm there.
Saw Jeffrey in Eindhoven the Netherlands in theater "BijFrits" together with my Wife and Son. He didn't make a single mistake and has a great voice. TOP!!! We bought both his CD and the LP
When he says sinking at the end of the bridge in poor man I got shivers. Crazy how one word can hit like that and make a song come together
Might be my favorite lyricist.
Absolutely love ❤️ these two.most beautiful 🤩 story telling folk country music 🎼 I’ve heard.pure bliss 😘🥰😘🥰😘
Jeffrey is an amazing musician, thank you for having him on
Just found him on Spotify, wow, love his picking style and lyrics, song writing, awesome
Thank You for sharing this wonderful couple of amazing talents!❤
How is it possible that there are 7 people out there who dislike this?
Or that you (or I ) need to comment on it...

Awesome performer and writer. Just loop that intro into my head all day and I’m good.
They sound really together. Found this totally by accident.
goodness me, love this gentleman.
So wonderful on so many levels martin is one of a kind.
Man, I just descovered the music from Jeffrey today and it's so beautiful! New fan from the Netherlands!
Love it! Like usual, so good.
WOW........What an AMAZING journey these two take you on !! If this don't reach your soul , I don't know what will...............
Still amazing, always will be ❤
He is absolutely amazing (all of them, including the banjo player). Spotify recommended Jeffrey to me months ago and I am hooked since. Love him! Cannot stop playing him. He reminds me somehow of Ray La Montagne, who has one song that I absolutely LOVE, but that is all - liked the voice and the style, but didn`t like the other songs.. As for Jeffrey - I love them all. I am from Bulgaria
Agree completely, found him on Spotify and ha e been hooked
Great stuff!
What talent, wow! 🔥🔥
Jeffrey is my own special secret treasure.
Had the pleasure of discovering Jeffrey Martin last night at The Old Church Concert Hall in Portland. For the girl in the bathroom who overheard my conversation and also wanted to know the word for the way this music makes me feel, it's "fenweh" (an aching longing for a place you’ve never been).
Love ❤️ this soooo much.I’m from Wrexham North Wales 🏴 and my dream would be to see Jeffrey Martin and Arlo Mckiney live in their backyards (hometown)I’ve been listening for nearly 10 years and they’re my favourites overall.Keep up the good work.I see Arlo is on the 🆙 but Jeffrey is quiet lately on the UA-cam I watch them on
wow...
The name of the 3rd song is "Poor Man". The chapter on here is labeled "Waterline"
Beautiful storytelling in the most beautiful form.if storytelling is the currency in a nomadic existence these two are the richest people on earth 🌍 a new year is a coming good luck to all peace ✌️ and love ❤️ to all
Now that Oliver Anthony is getting a lot of recognition let's hope the world opens their heart out to you too Mister Martin.
He is the Oliver before there was Oliver
He's one of the better songwriters coming out right now. He toured with another artist, Taylor Kingman. He's one of my favourite songwriters!
Great performance...I heard a little bit of Dave Matthews in his cadence and many of my favorite songwriters in his lyrics. Thank you for this post!!!
and his violinist's harmony reminds me of Jesca Hoop, another great singer/songwriter.
ana gasteyer ana gasteyer reminded of ana gasteyer...delicious dish...Jeff, freakin GREAT of course Anna too!
Reminds me a little bit of John Moreland
Many thanks for the tip, I looked for it and I liked it a lot.
Anna Tivel with some fiddle!
What Tak is Jeffrey playing?
Getting a touch of Chapin....
