Ps. Cast on tonite!!!! I’m casting on the Alpine Bloom (Caitlin Hunter)! I do this every day , pick a different pattern for the same yarn, I’m set on this one , it’s top down and some easy lace at the collar!!
You are funny Alex 🤭, but remember the 9th is a long time to wait to do no knitting 😜. With your cross stitch I wondered whether a magnetic ruler would help 🤔. I use one all the time for my knitting patterns and they are fabulous. xx
Your right its a ling way away! What I have discovered is if the chart is also coloured I have no issue but if it's black and white only the symbols just merge into one. I have managed to get the chart in my good notes app but it still isn't helping. Pattern keeper is great because it it shows only the symbol your working. Luckily my Peter rabbit cross stitch is colour coded so that's OK. I just can't cope with a sea of black amd white symbols 🤣 BUT it's something I have learnt about myself so I will be more careful when choosing patterns in future! Xx

Mark up xp is another app that's good for marking off cross stitch patterns. its better for taking a photo of a paper pattern and loading into the app than pattern keeper is. Also note not all patterns are compatible with pattern keeper and it doesn't show any backstitch so would still need to refer to the original for that.
I actually discovered mark up a couple of days ago and I much prefer it! I have transferred my patterns there! It's better on the ipad anyway - bigger! 🤣xx

No way I could have finished it be 9th July there's still so much to do! But I like ur thinking 😉 unfortunately I didn't get anything in the book shop there was plenty in there though! They have a lovely hobbies section and I have had a few crafty books from it 😁 xx

The purple top is stunning , and you did it so fast!! Came out perfect!! I mastered the shadow wrap heel(miracle), and want to make socks for my son, what yarns do u mostly use for socks? We’ll miss you and Danny in July!!

I say never feel guilty about casting on a new project. Life is too short to deny yourself something so benign.
It's not that I deny myself it's because I get very overwhelmed with too many wips so I try to plan my wips so that doesn't happen 😁xx

Why don’t you just enlarge the cross stitch chart and colour each symbol differently. Good luck.
I shpuld have done that to start with bit I mist admit I don't know how to do it! 🤣xx
@@myyarnycorner I just mean enlarge it on a photocopier and colour with pencil crayons. Takes a bit of time but so worth it. Cheers
