    Thanks for the great informative review. You presented a wealth of information of value for prospective purchasers. All the 2024 TBI enduro models I have tested exhibit the same low speed over rich behavior. Not sure why the factory made that choice. For many riders, the new fork and frame combination that allows for more precision will be the most important factor in deciding whether to upgrade from the TPI bike. Even an old and slow rider such as myself can appreciate the new bike’s better chassis. The previous air fork on the XC/TX models was unloved for hard enduro, and required a fair amount of cash to fix. With the new bike most will be quite happy with only needing the proper springs.

      Still just riding my backyard course, but the new fork is constantly impressing me. Very controlled, very plush up top, but no bottoming. I’m a big fan.

    I’ve got the same bike and couldn’t stand the low end stutter, super annoying. I went a different route than you and got the TSP ERM instead of the JD Tuner. Runs fantastic now and includes custom tunes from TSP along with still being able to access the stock tunes if I want. It also allows me to program up to 5 custom tunes adjusting fuel, engine timing, and power valve settings. It includes a digital display and will read and clear engine trouble codes, setting the Throttle Position Sensor and engine idle speed along with other engine perimeters. If you don’t buy TSP’s head (not required), only costs $190 more than the JD Tuner.

    Nice video. Maybe the suspension is also stiffer due to the cold temperatures now as well.

    I have about 19hrs on a 24' 300xc (WP CC forks) The forks are a little stiff out of the box but break in nicely around 10hrs. I lowered the oil level and went down a spring rate and they are really really good now. Also did a slight revalve but have not tested yet. Really good forks

      What do you weigh if you don’t mind sharing? I still only have a couple hours on the bike, but the forks are feeling better and better each time. At ~150 lbs, I’m probably a little light for the stock springs.

    @letsridesingletrack 6 місяців тому +1

    When i got my 24 - my 1st impression was super stiff on suspension and it was deflecting badly off of chop. It takes about 10 hours to break in suspension (and it truly does break in and changes the feel, it gets way less harsh) also turn back the clickers on both compression and rebound and slowly click up their dampening until you get it where you like (i think there is 31 clicks total, so a lot of clicks to dial it in to your liking) . I ended up getting my bike nice and soft with enough hold up - suspension is great once you get it dialed and broken in & no more defection.

    • @WASemiHardEnduro

    Hi, I will highly recomend you to try a tune from TSP and buy the ERM at the same time. This is the latest and gratest in 2 stroke FI tuning that everyone can use and you will thank yourself for spending the money all day after trying it. Just for the sake of good order I have no connection to TSP but the positive improvement on my TPI are so huge that I was blown away and just whished I had it from the beginning. It has put my plans on changing to a TBI on hold for at least another two years.

    • @WASemiHardEnduro
      @WASemiHardEnduro  6 місяців тому

      It’s tempting. My TPI was amazing after the John Ross tune - I wish I did that on day-1. The ERM with the constant updates and ability to do infinite tweaks is very tempting.

    Good review. I do love Husqvarna. I own a TE 250i 2020. Only thing I don't like on the newer huskys is the Braketech brakes. I feel like my maguras feel better not to say I'm not a fan of those either.

    • @WASemiHardEnduro
      @WASemiHardEnduro  6 місяців тому +1

      The Braketecs have very similar feel (so far) to the Maguras. And yeah, the Maguras aren't the best either, but I think the Braketecs are useable. My front lever is fairly firm feeling, but requires more pressure than a Brembo. I'm wondering if a pad swap will achieve better initial bite.
      All that said, brakes just slow you down. 😂

    How do you like the shaved seat? I got a 24 TE250 running stock sag and stock seat at 5’6 150lbs before gear. Came off a 23 KTM and already a world of a difference for me height wise. I feel way more comfortable and confident on my Husky. Wondering if shaving the seat will be worth it?

    • @WASemiHardEnduro
      @WASemiHardEnduro  6 місяців тому

      I think it's worth it. I'm 5'8" and I could get by fine without shaving the seat, but that extra inch makes a difference in gnarly terrain when you need to do some tricky maneuvers. For regular riding I'm always standing, so the only time I notice is during pivot turns and uneven ground when I'm about to fall over.😂

  • @shannonschimkens7261

    Do you have any issues with starting? Mainly cold cold starts? Have had to change two plugs so far and only have 30 hours up at Walker, 24 KTM 300. My ‘22 tpi had no problems and still doesn’t. Good suspension job makes the already great new suspension even better. 140lb springs and revalved, almost perfect. How much was the flash?

    • @WASemiHardEnduro
      @WASemiHardEnduro  6 місяців тому +1

      I have had weird idle issues twice so far, in sub-freezing/near-freezing temps. It started fine using cold start, idled fine for a few minutes until the rads were warm, but once I started slowly riding around, the idle kept getting lower and lower until it wouldn’t idle at all. Even 3-4 full turns on the red screw, and it still wouldn’t idle. Then after a handful of restarts, the issues magically disappeared, and it idled fine (too high until I turned the red knob back to where it was originally). Very strange.

    • @shannonschimkens7261
      @shannonschimkens7261 6 місяців тому

      Definitely experiencing those weird idle issues. Found out one incident was the Clake not positioned out far enough (small hands can’t reach). But the idle has been off on cold rides. I was told though not to touch the red knob. If you do, it could require a reset back at the dealer? Not sure the validity of that claim. Anywho, the power delivery is very smooth on gnarlier stuff, liking it up there.

    Whats your height and inseam? Wonder if shaving the seat at your weight and pre-load, allows you to touch the ground. I would need to shave the seat to make this work, I weigh what you weigh. Thanks in advance man!

      I’m about 150lbs, and 30-31” inseam. With ~114mm sag and the shaved seat (and a 0-psi rear tire), I can easily touch both feet almost flat. Shaved seat wasn’t necessary, but it’s nice if I’m stopped on uneven ground needing to maneuver or do a pivot.

    You're on the bike for 5 minutes and are trying to compare it to your older TPI bike? Wait until you go out and really ride that thing and put the suspension to the test, it is a "game changer" (if you're an A level rider). These new TBI bikes, motor and suspension, are the real deal... The more you ride it and the more you push it, the better it gets!
